Poll Which was the worst console - Gamecube, Xbox or Playstation 2? (80 votes)

Xbox 43%
Gamecube 24%
Playstation 2 19%
Not sure 15%

In my opinion, the Gamecube. My biggest grip with it was the lack of a really good online mode and the game selection wasn't as impressive. And yet it delivered some moments of brilliance, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness.

Xbox was an amazing first console for Microsoft, I think it lacked a lot of the games that would have made me love the console. It did however do online gaming right and had amazing graphics.

Playstation 2... I don't even have to talk about the greatest console of all time.

Overall, I loved generation 6. Much more impressive than gen 7, in my opinion which I didn't love due to my hate for the Wii.

Xbox imo was the worst, sure it had power but utterly lacked in games of interest, the gamecube was home to many legendary games like The Wind Waker and Metroid Prime and with the power of an Xbox but with the benefit of superior controller (the best I would say even to this day), while the PS2 was a juggernaut when it came to games (despite having very weak hardware).

I like all 3 that generation

The multiplats on the PS2 were great, when the Xbox came out it had some good exclusives then began to get similar multiplats to the PS2.

Xbox was a better console due to the hard drive, start of Xbox live etc

Then we have the GameCube, same old good Nintendo games on it, but games like eternal darkness, and the resident evil games were the best survival horror games in the generation.

All 3 consoles were good

The Gamecube was not as powerful as the XBOX. It was more powerful than the PS2, but not nearly as powerful as the XBOX. It also did not feature a hard drive or network connectivity. It didn't even have a DVD player. It also had laughable 3rd party support. It had exclusives, sure, but just about every multiplat was inferior to the XBOX version.

As far as the Gamecube controller being superior to the XBOX controller S...what are you smoking? The Gamecube controller was the worst by far.

@undefined: ps2 xbox and gamecube were great consoles. even if you say x360 and ps3 were great on their day.

The only console gen that was a let down was xbox one and ps4 since they were not impressive (mid range pc specs on release).

The consoles you mentioned were amazing so it goes down to personal taste
