well, for certain gamers it does 'deliver'. If you're not aware, reviews are opinions and everyone will probably see it differently.

okay lets get this clear, this hyped up to be A-Jrpg got a review of 5.1 at another website and 6 at gamespot (which really matters here) and makes it a FOTY candidate? You're kidding. Now if it was hyped AAA, then it could be AAA or maybe even AA. Sorry lhaters but you got nothing. And to the guy who said MAG flopped: It was hyped AA, it received AA. Moving back, this title wasn't even hyped that much, yes; I can see some people, most likely JRPG fans hyping this but come on, you guys had an awesome start to 2010 but that don't mean that you back on top of the world. You know its not nice to put words into peoples' mouths. People who wanted this game will still buy it. :)

One more thing for people saying it flopped everywhere, this should suffice (A)

how is this a flop? its been out for about 2 years now in japan and it got horrible scores there. only a few hardcore jrpg fans had this on their radar and were hoping the new content for the NA release would give it better scores, it did not. i don't know how a game could be a flop when it had bad scores 2 years ago. its been known for awhile that this game was garbage.

Not use to seeing IGN giving lower scores compare to GS. Usually the other way around. WTH.

It also happened with Darksiders and MAG. It is rare to see GS score a game higher than IGN, especially with 3 games in such a short time period.

I was interested in this game three years ago, but over time it looked more and more boring to me. Not surprised by these scores.

Yeah I really trust Ryan clements when it comes to RPG reviews, Hes the only one on like the entire internet to give Valkyria chronicles the score it deserved :P

Still bought it. I already had it preordered and I really don't have anything else I want to play.

Haven't bought a game this year yet either since I beat Bayonetta and just rented it so I took a chance. Well see later on tonight (After Nip/Tuck 8))whether this is getting traded towards Final Fantasy XIII/ Resonace of Fate. Kind of sad seeing all the bad reviews though. All the potential, just sounds like it couldn't live up. Owell

it'll probably be a bargain bin title soon in which case i'll pick it up then and will most likely end up loving it

Guess your not paying attention to the bords. Mag didint flop but WKC did. Mag was not hyped AAA if you look at the recent polls. Im playing WKC now and I must say im having a good time 7 so far in my book. Just a warning to everyon is you didint like ff12 combat system you wont like WKC combat. Its pretty much the same.

Ya.... even every Cow called a flop on this one, very few hyped it. I never planned on even trying it, looks awful, too much else good coming out/already out to waste my time with that.

I got White Knight Chronicles today and I'm glad I did. I'm not quite sure what rating I'd give it yet, but it definitely deserves something better than an 8.0/10

Too bad i bought this online before the reviews came out :/ Owell aslong as i can still afford the rest of the games i want i dont mind. Maybe i might find something to enjoy with this title. Dissappointing though because i loved Dark Cloud 2.

How did mag flop?? It got a 8.0, I didn't even like the game I thought it was going to get a 7.0. We still got GOW3, modnation racers, and other games but those are the 2 games that will make my year :)

Ouch. It's a real shame, as there haven't been too many mainstream JRPG ventures this gen.

I was looking forward to this game but I guess I can cross it off my list.

Well I still got Star Ocean 4: International Edition, Heavy Rain, and Bioshock 2 to keep me busy in Feburary and BFBC2, GOW3, and FFXIII to keep me busy in March so no complaints.

Of course. Who wants to play a Rpg where you turn into a Giant White Knight fighting other Giant things and sometimes not so Giant things.

Well I guess you can add this to the PS3's list of dissapointing 2010 along with MAG and Bayonetta.

Once again Sony tried to copy Fable just like they did with Demons Fails and once again the critics have told the truth. This game is like watching paint dry, I've seen more lively action in 1924 Walt Disney cartoons.

Sony will continue to lose their big games like Smackdown vs Raw and DBZ oh welll hahahahaha.
