White Knight Chronicles looks really bad

At least in my opinion. It looks so horrible and boring that something is wrong. The graphics are great but the game is slow paced and just looks unfun to play. There is just something off with the game that makes the game look slow paced and boring. Just saw some video about it and though system wars was a good place to post this.

The first videos looked really amazing and the environments were very beautiful, but the latest gameplay videos are just dull... I lost all hype for the game.

I think it will be a solid game. Kinda like MAG. Pretty solid, but not outstanding. Still worth a buy. I'm expecting probally an 8 or so.

I see a 8 for the game and thats not a bad thing. I cant wait to pick it up. I already see this game being a love it or hate it.

I think it will be decent title. Not earth shattering, but a good JRPG.

I think the game looks great, About the combat being slow.. its an RPG. No one complained about slow combat in RPG's any other gen.. why is it so important to have fast paced button mashing battles now?

Actually.. thats not true at all.

They fixed up the online mode, Which is a big factor in this game, Added a bunch of extra quests, Added voice chat.. Yeah.. didnt improve a thing.:roll:

From what Iv heard its been like a year and 1 month. They have been making it a better game. Not graphics wise but they have been fixing the online portion and you gatta count translations and VO. I mean did you expect some gameplay overhaul?

Dont even compare lol I tried WKC its amazing if you compare it to any other HD JRPG its only behind Lost odyssey, ToV, VC and Demon's souls.

It will be the 2nd time that I've wasted that much if it turns out that I'm going to trade it in. I'll actually be turning in my first game (which is probably like 7 or 13 bucks) to buy WKC and that will be cross edge. It's the only PS3 game that I've bought that I want to get rid of.

I don't think that's going to be the case with WKC as I've enjoyed watching the gameplay videos, but then again, playing the game is totally different than watching videos. It looks like the combat is similar to either xenogears or star ocean. I still can't tell if it's an action RPG or an action turn based RPG but I'm a big fan of both.

I've actually been waiting for this game to come out in the US since the release in Japan.

I just read a Review at http://ps3.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r30961.htm. They gave it an 8.0 and they never even got to try the online mode yet. I see this game meeting hype. It wont be anything revolutionary, but a solid Jrpg none the less.

It looks pretty bad... Japan needs some new ideas with their RPG's. FF13 may be the most important JRPG in years.

I'll give it a try eventually, normally I don't enjoy JRPGs but I enjoyed Dark Chronicle and Rouge Galaxy loads.

Well sometimes theres like a middle ground with words like I like it or its ok. I just have a feeling this game will have some saying its poo and its horrible and some will really enjoy it alot.

Also I read the review you are talking about and the story just seems ok. Level 5 never was the king of doing mindblowing stories. Just enough to get you by. Which is fine. After all I really enjoyed rouge galaxy.

Yeah, they said the story was pretty cliche, which I knew already. But like you said enough to get you by. Im really looking forward to the online portion though.

100% agree, All 3 of these bring something different to the table and neither should be missed by any RPG fan.

I'm excited for White Knight Chronicles and I'll be getting it ASAP tomorrow. Level 5 made it, the developers that brought us Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2, so I'm certain that I'll like it.

it did start to look awesome but yeah.... its not so good in my eyes now... it just doesnt have a charm to it just screams generic game with online thrown in
