[QUOTE="VideoGameGuy"]Is it impossible to make a decent tree? Seriously every game has crap trees.munu9Natures is very complex, try making a life like 3D model of a tree on your own time why don't you? I freakin' should. Then i could sell the design/concept to developers and i could FINALLY see some decent trees. Seriously doesn't it just totally take you out of every game? It's like "WOW these graphics are AWESOME! ....eeerrrr... is that tree made out of crappy sprites?!!?......uhhhh i don't think i like this game anymore..." That's what i do anyway..
Yawn. I still fail to see why anyone is impressed by this game's visuals.cheezisgooooodI have to agree. Worse yet, we've seen it in motion. nothing to get excited about. at all.
The forest and the water looks impresive, but tha character models and the city looks very standard, i dont know why but i dont like the character designs, maybe i've been playing lots of RPGs with Anime style. madsnakehhhThe water looks cool, the forest looks repeatitve, boring and generally flat, plus the foliage, textures, shaders are totally last gen
The same people saying it doesnt look that good are the same people that would then go ahead a praise fable 2s graphics thinking they look godly, it's just what fanboys want to see, because fable 2s graphics are bloody as average as you get for a next gen game, no better than white knight chroniclesbigLLL
Are you kidding ? Fable 2 is generation ahead in lighting, texturing, shaders, detail and does not look generic and flat everywhere
Looks about a billion times better actually to me than WKC, especially the lighting and foliage
In fact, WKC looks vastly worst than both Lost Odyssey and IU
*in response to those Fable 2 pics* See? More fugly trees, everything looks GREAT then you got those hideous trees.VideoGameGuyYeah because WKC's trees are incredible

Actually the trees in Fable 2 look amazing and are easilly some of the best i have seen in a game yet, of course trees are hard to make, even Crysis trees look like garabge comparing to real trees obviously, but Fable 2 has some of the best in a game to this date
I can't say the same for the horrid looking WKC ones though, that look totally last gen, in fact barely pass as trees

Do you know what the atmosphere of the game is like? If the soundtracks any good? and hows the combat?ok enough with the credibility stuff... 7 of my dorm mates have the game already. Really enjoying the game. Their biggest complaint is the camera angle. They are about 25 hours into the game.

And yet still WKC rivals Fable 2's graphics.I know user reviews usally suck, but this one seems to give a good description of the geniral feel of the game

Unless you mean Far Cry 1 rivals Crysis somehow too, yes both are big and have grass/trees, but Far Cry 1 uses everything last gen liek WKC and Crysis everything next gen like Fable 2

First of all, both WKC and Fable 2 looks last gen compared to Crysis, and second, both have quite similar graphical merit, especially when you compare TC's offscreen WKC pics to your offscreen Fable 2 pics. And WKC is actually looking to have better water effects than Fable 2.[QUOTE="obamanian"][QUOTE="nervmeister"]And yet still WKC rivals Fable 2's graphics.nervmeister

And WKC is actually looking to have better water effects than Fable 2.Well, you are 100% wrong, there is nothing similar about them in the slightest, WKC looks like a last gen game in HD, Fable 2 has vastly better lighting, detail, trees and houses models, better texturing and shading, real forests than sparse trees here and threre, vastly more enemies/NPCs on screen with far better models etc
Only the water is comparable, even though i like Fable 2 effect better still
Again, it is like comparing Crysis to Far Cry 1, Fable 2 has everything next gen, like detail, foliage, shaders, lighting etc, WKC has everything last gen, especially the beyond mediocre foliage and lighting, and tree/house etc models that look like jokes comparing etc

According to the stunning pics i posted, the next gen lighting, dynamic light beams, real forests, huge detail and scale, many NPC's around, huge cities etc
And the below of course
You'll be sucked in by Fable II's charm right from the start, with its distinctive visuals and fantastic characters combining to create a very convincing world. It doesn't try to be realistic, in fact it's almost cartoony to look at, but very much like World of Warcraft, it still manages to create a breathtaking environment.
Snappygamer
This is due, in no small part, to the exceptional visual design of the game. While I have used the term "articulated" in the past to describe the invented world of a game, nothing compares to imagination and attention to detail in Fable II.
X-Play
There are so many solid design decisions, tiny flourishes of genius, that this is a game to be marvelled at for its ideas as much as for its execution and aesthetics.

It's something the first game excelled at and it's an even greater achievement here. Regions are now vast, open and uniformly staggering in their beauty and attention to detail. It's one of the most cohesive, tangible game worlds we've ever played.

Gorgeous on a technical level but phenomenal from an artistic perspective. The subtlest details tell the grandest stories, making for an incredibly consistent, enthralling world.

From the Dickens-esque prologue, where players watch a sparrow glide above the snow-littered Victorian streets, to the lush valleys and foreboding caverns, the title has a wonderful graphical opulence.

Fable 2 excels in the graphics and music departments and this will come as no surprise to anyone who is fortunate enough to have played the original which at the time set the bar quite high in both

Fable II is a lovingly-crafted game in every detail of the intriguing storyline, the creative level design, the mood-setting soundtrack and the gorgeous graphics. It's an especially close race between the high-quality sound and the art.

I'd be remiss not to mention how gorgeous Fable II looks and sounds, from the moment the game opens with crackling rubbish bins flanked by gleaming snow and calliopes dolorously huffing and grinding beside polychromatic wagons, on through the dazzling stand-still-to-watch sunrises and sunsets

Solid controls, incredible graphics, and an overall rich experience, Fable II is an instant ****c.

This is the most breathtaking fantasy world I've seen, with gorgeous, deliberately overdone lighting that changes to reflect the time of day, rich vegetation and lovely, gleaming water. From the opening winter scenery it's a feast, and Albion rivals Azetoth as a place where you just want to get out, explore and see the world

As mentioned before the visuals remind us of World of Warcraft and we mean that as a compliment.

What's more, there is no sacrifice in the visuals like you get in other open-world games, so you'll be fighting in one of the more visually stunning regions ever pixelated and copied to a DVD.

The game's art direction is also incredible. The interplay between the game's light and dark aspects is perfectly expressed through gorgeous and dazzling designs that never cease to mesmerise. The visual direction goes a long way towards making this one of the best-looking games I've ever played. The lighting effects in particular are often gobsmackingly impressive, with the very sight of Albion's sunrise or sunset being just breathtaking. Going hand-in-hand with the visual design is a stunning orchestral score that manages to capture and enhance the mood of the game even further.

We often call games "stylish" because of their distinctive visuals or offbeat approach, but Fable II's charismatic personality permeates the entire gameplay experience. From its storybook narrator (voiced by the inimitable Zoe Wanamaker) to its lush anachronistic blend of medieval, renaissance, and 18th-century environments, the game weaves together its disparate locations, characters, and stories more effectively than any game I have ever played.

All too easy to take for granted is the mood that each environment creates: every town and area carries its own sense of rural bliss or cosmopolitan bustle, ominous foreboding or the embers of a better time. Really, the art direction is fantastic.
