Who Cares?(Bungie/MS related)

Why is everyone making such a huge deal about the whole "Bungie is leaving Microsfot!" thing. First off, this has yet to be completely confirmed, but eeveryone seems to be making a big deal about it.

Second, why would this even be a huge blow to Microsoft? MS still will own the rights to the Halo series, and will be able to make it so future games from Bungie aren't released on certain platforms. The only thing this does is give Bungie the opportunity to make w/e new IP's they wish to make. MS can still make those new IP's exclusive to the 360.

My whole problem with this affair is how a) fanboys are twisting it, and b) 360 fans are getting all worried. The point that FASA was closed down and Bizarre was bought by Activision has been brought up so many times in these threads. Bizarre was never owned by MSFT, if they were why would GW:Galaxies go to the Wii, and please may i remind you all that MSFT has an in house studio (Turn 10) who make 9,1 rated racing games. I understand that it would be wrong for PGR to become a second Forza but i think it's possible that since PGR is a more arcade style racer the difference will be big enough to notice.

As for this Bungie MSFT situation, Bungie is currently owned by Microsoft, and in response to TC question, people are worried because "TEH HALOE 4z will come to PS3 and be not overated" (sorry for horrible exaggeration), it won't and i think like the MGS4 rumours this will keep on popping back up.

IMO the only hint of this rumour being true is MS and Bungie not say "NOOOOO", but few massive corporations do.
