People who dont buy the Wii dont buy it because they have hatred for Nintendo or just like to follow the crowd of 360 and PS3 owners that say "its for kids". I always thought that the "its for kids" excuse died out after the GC but people still use it. Funny thing is some people will never understand games are just games, you dont have to be a certain age to enjoy them.

i didnt buy it because, most of the games are crap. i like to play online, witch the wii has but pretty much fails on and probably like 80% of the games are for kids.. why would i wast my money on it..? for mario, SSBB and zelda. those are 3 games.

Thats what i mean...not the other parts you mentioned because they make sense but how exactly are games "for kids"? Are they not violent enough for you or what?

Point proven. There are other games you would like besides Mario, SSBB, and Zelda. The fact that you can only mention the games that everyone in the world knows exist shows that when it comes down to it you really haven't given any Wii games a chance.

1) People that love nintendo characters

2) PPl that grew up with these nintendo icons,and thats the reason they have all previous nintendo consoles.They have great time with nintendo games,cant think themselves without mario-zelda games.

3)Casuals that think to play 1 or less hour per day with the (indeed fun) controller of Wii.Plain fun,nothing more.Besides they playing one game every month or 2.

4)The father or mother that bought a Wii to her little child,because the other consoles were far more expensive than Wii

5) Crazy japanese,the true lovers of nintendo

6)Ppl that found the price low,and said "what the hell,why not",even if till now they only played 2-3 games (got many friends be like that)

7)Playing with Wii controller seems fun to many out there,that with the "low" price (not that low now for such console) made a not that expensive "nex-gen" experience.

8) Great marketing and nice timing of very good 1st party nintendo games that released.

Anyone who says the only people playing the wii are casuals, kids, and old folks are simply fanboys who should not be taken seriously.

As many people have already said: every sort of person regardless of age, gender, or amount of time spent playing video games are playing the wii.

Well according to most people here I'm either 5 years old or a soccer mom. I can assure you I'm neither :P

To answer your question, all types of the demograph are buying the Wii.
