MS only needs to fix that retarded D-pad and it'll be perfect imo
Sony needs to fix those triggers and make it a bit heavier
360-d pad
ps3- shoulder buttons, analouge sticks
wii- buttons ar mostly poorly placed and it doesn't feel right with most games
sony needs to fix the L2 R2 buttons so there like the PS2's
But it would be hard for them to move the analog stick the microsoft have patents on the placment of analog sticks
360-D Pad, I also hat LB and RB make them more defined and move the Triggers out a bit so they aren't so sunken.
PS3-Less squishy trigger action, rumble from the off, I don't mind the anologues
Wii-1 and 2 buttons need to be moved up a bit, apart from that it still has 10 buttons easily accessible so I don't know why people are complaining...
Sony needs to design a controller that befits a 400 dollar console. The Sixaxis is a flimsy piece of junk. And fix those god damn triggers! The dual shock is a bit better, but those triggers are still horrid. And the shape has never been what I would call ergonomic.
The 360's Dpad is a bit weak, but as a controller it's a winner. I love it. It feels like a quality piece of tech. Now, if only the actual system was built as well as it's controller........hmmmm.
The Wii's controller is cool, I like the idea, but the games do nothing for me and some of the buttons need to be more accessible..
360- Needs to replace their d-pads. Their d-pad isn't good as the ps3's d-pad.
ps3 - They should move the left analog where the d-pad is and vice versa. The way it positions sucks when you play online shooters that requires using d-pad to switch weapons. I don't like to stop to switch weapons. The way 360 is positioned I can move and switch weapons at the same time by using my right thumb on the d-pad.
Their trigger buttons L2 and R2 feels weird.
Their recharger cord is too short. I hate sitting really close to the tv when I have to recharge the controller.
Sony need to either take off or improve the Motion sensing, fix the triggers, change the stick layout, put more grip on the sticks and make it a bit heavier.
360 just needs to fix the D-Pad and maybe add motion sensing.
Wii-Mote doesn't need anything done imo.
[QUOTE="Ace132"]The Wiimote has buttons. If anything it has too many.wii....it has no buttons..lol
PS3......well DS3 is ok,aprt from shoulder L2 and R2
360.......i dunno, its ok,but its not really comfortable playing fighting games IMO (dont qoute me on that)

Buttons 1 and 2 are impossible too reach for me
Wii. I can't stand the Wiimote. MS needs to fix the D-Pad although I've only had problems with it in SF. Every other game I've been fine with it. Dual Shock needs a better grip, triggers, and the Left thumbstick switched with the d-pad.
Wii Mote. I don't like how there are 2 separate parts. I don't really care for the motion sensing aspect. I don't think I can ever get used to "press b" where "press R" would usually be. Don't like reaching all the way down for Buttons 1 and 2. I do like how it looks but I pretty much don't like how it functions.
Sony's
After 3 generations you'd think they'd figure out that the left analogue stick is MUCH more comfortable directly in front of your thumb rather than under it and having to reach for it. I have long fingers and I'M complaining about it!
Meh i have no problems with any of them except wii's crappy motion senesing.Sully28Care to explain ????
There's lots of crap things i can think of about Wii but controls aren't one of them.
Please don't change your pad Sony. I've used that pad for a considerable amount of time, and I just can't understand why people say it's bad.
The very fact they changed it from the PS2 version with their HORRIBLE triggers is proof that change just isn't what it needs. The pad is great already.

I had no problems with the 1 and 2 buttons because alot of the games I played hardly use them and the games that do use them alot that I played you hold it sideways like the NES controller. Please don't change your pad Sony. I've used that pad for a considerable amount of time, and I just can't understand why people say it's bad.

100% agreed. I've used that pad for years, I dont want change. I dont know why people hate it, I'm sure is people that play nothing but shooters that are complaining, still I play shooters with it perfectly. I hate those damn L2 and R2 triggers.
I just hate the Analogue Stick because it is in a Terrible spot IMO. I'm ok with it if I'm not forced to use the left Analogue Stick because if I'm not forced to use the Analogue Stick I just use the D-Pad and I prefer D-Pad on that controller. Please don't change your pad Sony. I've used that pad for a considerable amount of time, and I just can't understand why people say it's bad.

The wii controllers send a multitude of data to the system, but its hard for developers to know exactly what its doing making the motion sensing subpar in some instances.
Just becuas they made one bad change doesn't mean change is bad. Please don't change your pad Sony. I've used that pad for a considerable amount of time, and I just can't understand why people say it's bad.

ceruxx
Patents really have too much power.
Its true, its also why 3rd party controllers are prices of crap
Sony drop the six axis- IT SUCKS and your controllers perfect...(yes it will be better if it drops a feature)
actually change of the joystick placement a little, and fix the triggers
Microsoft- Fix the D-Pad, I like your controller
Nintendo- Motion sensing is fun but the wii mote lacks alot of basic control options such as camera in third person games, and stuff. jg4xchamp
i really enjoy the sixaxis
since when does it suck

First, Ninty... I like the Wiimote... but I got tired of the motion control sometimes.|
Second, Sony... the PS3 controller's analogs sticks are too breakable. On COD4 if you play online alot, you know to sprint you push in the left analog stick... well, that wears your analog stick out very fast. The triggers dont bother me, just the durability of the analog sticks.|
Third, MS... the D-Pad sucks, period. Other than that, great controller.

I agree 100% except i'll add that Sony needs to change the D-pad with the analog stick a la 360 controller. It's just more ocmfortable that way.

I disagree. switching the d-pad and analog positions will not only make the controller look stupid and ugly. but uncomfortable.
They all ahve flaws, none of them are perfect IMO.
PS3: Tighten triggers and make them curve like 360, Smoothen joysticks and make them a little shorter (layout is fine or else it will be like 360), and make the controler a little more heavier.
360: Need a better D-pad, reshape the controller a tiny bit.
Wii: Shouldve came with motion plus, more buttons, cuts arount the joysticks are annoying so just straighten that circle out.

Agreed. I don't know why people want to see a 360 pad on the Playstation 3.
Anyone who has used the Dualshock for an extended period of time [I.e: Years] will understand that changing it to reflect the 360's pad, which I'm sure many a Sony fan don't like, would be a bad move.
PS3 - better Sixaxis, Shoulder Button improved, I like the new feel though.
360 - better D Pad, switch D pad with Analog a la Dualshock, it's positioning is horrible, if you're having games without the D Pad it's ok, but when theyre both necessary the layout is a nightmare.

all sony needs to do is make the controler bigger and fatter
cause i've got some pretty big hands, and that controler is just to small

johnnyboy5000
And herein lies one problem with Sony and Microsoft-people have different sized hands, differnt length of digit. I've often wished the 360 controller was smaller because ofmy small fingers and prefer (esp now it's weightier with the dualshock returning)sony's. I realise it's probably not economically viable but maybe two sizes of each would help alleviate these problems and then it would be down to where/how you prefer analogue and button layouts. Doesn't anyone else think it's strange that all the companies think gamers have uniform hands?
Also I'm right handed and have just thought-would it help lefties if the 360 was available in mirror image? Is Microsoft being discriminatory against our left handed brethren?
I guess it isn't the biggest issue in the world but I do think that people do get used to what they've got and when i switch from the sony controller to the 360 on the PC it's like going from driving my car to driving a mates. Never gonna please everyone with controllers.
