Who do you think will release the first next gen console?

I do not even want to think about the next generation of consoles at this point in time. I am perfectly fine with my PS3 and 360 and feel that we should only be about half way through this gen. A lot of good gaming yet to go. However, if I had to guess I would have to say Microsoft.

SNES lasted from 1991 - 1999 (It still got new games up until 1999 and in 1997 Nintendo released a redesign that looked like the Top-loading NES.)

I think MS will be first out of the gate next gen. I just hope there is a lot more time before that happens.

well sales of wiis are really dropping in japan, and nintendo seems to only care about japan when it comes to sales of systems, i.e. the ds.i was made simply because of decreasing DS sales in japan, so yeah even though it doesnt seem to make all that much sense i really think nintendo will be the first to launch another one, especially if sony's wands and natal are very successful

It'll be MS with the 720 and it'll have hardware failures galore and people will think it's the greatest even after Sony releases releases a PS4 that runs perfectly with free online has the greater disc format and other better features and hardware and is more user friendly. Sound familiar?!

Sure you can if you put some effort into it. By the way my spatial thinking is by far my weakest part. I really have no feeling for that. I'm better at calclulus, linear algebra and numerical analysis.

I think they'll release a new one just like they release a new handheld every few years or how apple releases new iPhones.
