Who else is hyped for black mesa source (56k go away)

For those of you who don't know, Black Mesa Source is a complete recreation of Half Life 1 using the HL2 engine. Its a mod and I believe its coming out later this year or early next year for the the pc. I'm hyped, how about you?

Even more so that episode 3. The wait is killing me.

I just hope it comes out this year.

I always wanted to play the original, but I am handicapped by the fact that I like graphics more than gameplay... so bad graphcs are a no go for me. Will definitely buy this...

If Valve decide to hire the team who make it iam sure its possible, but without Valves involvement you won't see it on a console.

Mods have to be free Unless they buy a license for the Engine or the Dev picks them up. (They could charge people for access to the Website in order to download the mod that however they can do)

But Valve is known to Pick up Mod Teams in the past, CS; Team fortress; Garry's Mod; And I believe Left 4 Dead started as a mod. (Not 100% sure on that one)

After playing the orange box, i canT careless about half-life, seriously the game is more overated than halo :SSolid_Tango

This looks so awesome, this guys are doing an incredible work with this mod, saddly this only will do the wait for Episode 3 even more painfull.

I heard that valve is actually helping them with the project. I think they are helping with the voice work but thats all I heard. And the chanses of Valve buying this team and selling this game on Steam are pretty high....

Oh it is? I always assumed Black Mesa was going to be a different game, not a recreation of the original. I guess it does make more sense that it'd be a recreation though.

I'll buy it anyways as Half Life has always been incredibly awesome.

I wouldn't mind if Valve Supported it, I would gladly buy it.

I always wanted to finish Half-Life 1, I have HLS but for some reason It gives me Motion Sickness, I always just get about half way through and I can't play anymore.:( it's the only game that does this.

Yes, I am pretty excited. I beat Half Life a long while ago, but I will be nice to play it again. :D

I don't know how many years I've been waiting for this mod. But I'm waiting patiently... these guys are doing a fantastic job, and they are sacrificing their spare time on making it as awesome as possible.
