Who else thinks ps3 has lost

And I dont mean you 360 fanboys to come in a say "o my heat radiator Pwns teh ps3 !!!!1111". No. I mean people that own the consoles, like me. The ps3 was my favourite console(mainly because I never had to send it back) but now I dont see what else sony can do. People say the ps3 is the future and 360 will last a shorter time, but by the time ps3 is ready Xbox 720 will be out. I see like 3 big exclusives in the ps3's future. Games that arent that big. It seems like the only games that are exclusives are developed by SCEA. soon Mgs4 will be out on the 360 with Loads of DLC.

I don't think that the PS3 has lost, but at the same time, I don't think it has such edge over the 360 this year. Both consols are getting great games, and can hold their own in the market.Legendaryscmt

Also when the 360 lost its big games (bioshock and Gears), the 360 wasn't considered "lost". Companies have to make money, and going multiplat is the best way to make up for high production cost.

One last thing, this is like the 10th thread I have read with the same topic and statement. SW needs to come up with some original ideas.

Well seeing as ps3 is currently outselling 360 and looks set to overtake completely I think its 360 that is in the red.

FF13 is big, no doubt about it whatever ur opinion. But in all honesty do you see anybody in japan bothering with an american 360 when their products are all round cheaper and cater to their market far better than the 360 does in general. Yeah there is a few FF wannabes and FF 13, but by now I think its too late for ms in this region, plus hardcore fans stick to their guns and buy there best version, that will be the next battle!

Atleast 360 can be taken seriously on the rpg front now...

This generation has gone from Sony making mistakes, to Sony losing exclusives, to making more mistakes, to losing more exclusives.

If not for the fact that the PS3 is a Blu-Ray player I would have a hard time believing that the console would make money at anytime this generation.

From last generation to last generation, if you review the top ten best selling games for the PS2:

They have lost exlusivity on the franchises in 1, 3, 4, 7, and 8th. As well as losing a fairly storng console exclusive relationship with the developers of 9 and 10.

Which pretty well leaves MGS and GT as the only two franchises left as exclusive in Sony's top ten selling software titles from last generation.

Has Sony lost?

No, its still early but its getting pretty close to to end.

I used to think the system would crash and burn. But after I bought the MGS4 bundle, I've really fallen in love with it. I think Sony's strength is in the fact that it's sticking to the classic game formula that has been in place since the N64/PSOne days and keeps trying to make it better and better. Wii has splintered off from this formula, much to its own advantage. 360 is starting to try to break away in Wii fashion, and its got the clout to do so.

I've become a believer that PS3 will come into its own as soon as people can afford it a little more easily. I think its current user base will keep it going until then.

only haters and fanboys see that... personally i will enjoy many other great games on PS3 including FFXIII because its not like the game went to become an xbox360 exclusive..

I still think PS3 has lots to offer starting from 1st party devs releasing some great exclusives...

Why would having to share a game mean the PS3 is going to lose? I really do not understand all these PS3 are doomed threads.

At the beginning of this gen it was said almost all 3rd party big blockbuster games will be multiplat because of the cost. With a huge game like FFXIII it was inevitable that it would go multiplat because of its budget.

Going into this gen I bought a PS3 because of the games that Sony makes, not becaues of the 3rd party exclusive games that would be on the console.

A lot of the big 360 games are going multiplat to the PS3 as well so it isn't one way.

I only created this for a glimmer of hope that the ps3 wasnt dead. Also, I cant wait to see what secrets sony has for the press conference. Remember when at E3 games were displayed for the next 3 years to come, those days are overAndrovinus

They'll have a lot to reveal if they wanna cheer people up. Something better than Ridge Racer, if that game is even mentioned i vow to destroy my ps3 in a controlled explosion by dropping it in a tube station in a suspicious looking bag.

While the cows may be all over Microsoft for "buying exclusives" lets not for get that Kojima and Konami have reportedly signed a pretty big money contract with Sony Pictures to produce the Metal Gear Solid Movie.

I have no doubt that part of the backend of the deal assures thet MGS4 stays put.

I peronsally don't own a PS3 but my brother does and even he seems to think Sony is fighting a losing battle and is considering a 360. However I wouldn't count them out just yet, maybe a good God of War 3 trailer a home beta release date and a couple suprise announcments could restore some faith in ther product?

Sony hasn't lost yet. They still have a lot of stuff coming up. The only thing that has happened is that MS showed that they aren't going to sit back and let them run over them. People need to calm down. This is what competition is all about. I can't wait to see what everybody else has.

you really think sony is stupid enough to waste money on final fantsy keeping it exclusive when it sells the most in japan wich = ps 3 sales. really if i was sony i would of done the same and not waste the money.

the ps 3 exclusive or not will sell the most on there console because

a. people that thought it was exclusive bought the ps 3 already for this game wich = more ps 3 game sales.

b. people that want versus will keep the ps 3 for both of them.

Yea but ps3 has already taken europe from 360, the question is can 360 make a comeback outside of NA and it's dying fast

Although, I will admit, the PS3 is not doing ideal right now, I don't have a feeling that they will lose.

The Wii is like the inferior little brother with good looks that only appeals to blonds and soccer mums. No offense there, I just don't like the wii at all.

:Dsony and microsoft are adapting more of nintendo's philosophy of gaming, the motion control, the casual game market, nintendo has and is taking some of the exclusives that sony had. Nintendo is still a videogame company. more and more third party publishers will bring more their franchises to the wii.
