I had the game since March but never got around playing past 1st few levels on single player. how ever lately After sharping my 1st person shooting skills on COD4 I decided to try and finish this game.

And to my surprise this game was pretty long, and so after 2 weeks of playing it I finally clocked it by destroying the tower or whatever it was. And I loved every single minute of it.

It really is an underrated game.

This game would of been perfect if:-

Nathan Hale had bit more of character, I think in the entire game he had about 6 or 7 lines. (Is he human?)

Online cooperative mode

The story wasn't the best in world but it could of been done better, rather then picture and narrators voice.

Having said that am sure they would of done the above and more had they had they time to do it.

I finished it early this year. The game was pretty long. I remember thinking "this must be the last level" about ten times :P

I never played much of the multiplayer. by the time I finished the single player, I was already into motorstorm, and the Warhawk beta.

I beat it and really enjoyed it as well. IMO the story was not as invovling or complete because it was a launch title. Also, IMO it was the second best launch game between the PS3 and 360 just behind Condemned (man I really enjoyed that game as well).

p.s. Wasn't Resistance difficult, I remember reading somewhere on a gaming site that said "If someone says they beat Resistance without dying...they are lying."

Game was really awesome. Cant wait for the second one.

If the surfer girl rumors are true, the story for Resistance 2 seems great.

It's the best launch title I have ever played this gen and I agree, it's very underrated here. GS should switch scores with PDZ and R:FoM.

it was decent, some what cookie cutter at times and some levels were dreadfully boring. The online though was a blast.

I completed it about 2 months ago. The only publication that I know of that gave this game a really good review was Game Informer. They gave it a 9.5, I think it's a 9.0. Very entertaining game and I will be picking up the seqeul, whenever that happens.

no....i cant say i really enjoyed the game to be honest. i got to the bit where ure in a town square thats being sieged by loads of enemies and ends with a fight with something that looks like a minature dark walker...and i lost interest.

some nice ideas there...i loved the whole alternate WW2 history idea but i thought the execution was a bit lacking. it didnt feel like a WW2 shooter with evil mutants....it felt like a standard issue shooter with mutants which was a missed opportunity imho. not a terrible game but theres tons of others id recommend over it.

The story was okay, the writing was pretty good, but the atmosphere was excellent in my opinion. The music and art style came together brilliantly and is a combination above most other shooters today. Mulitplayer was mostly mindless but was still a lot of fun.

(Raises hand) Yep, it was the second game I played for the PS3 and still one of the best. I bet Resistance 2 is going to be off the chain killer.

I think people underestimate the amoutn of chaos that goes on in that game. It may not have the pacing of COD4 but when stuff does start to happen it's crazy-an excellent blend of taking cover and running and gunning. Also the chains of explosions that can happen are crazy-throw a grenade, blow up some crates which takes out a parked car and a mess of enemies.

Another thing that needs to be added is that it has one of the more steady framerates comparing it to any good FPS game out there!

It's a great game with a great story especially if you read up on everything like the black ops. The Resistance unverse is very promising.

Played it. Beat it. Loved it. Played the heck out of Multi-Player 40 player battles. Loved those too. Great game. Weapons were really thought out and well developed.

They are.

I'm playing it on Normal and I have died a few times. It doesn't really have anything to do with skill, they put you in the some of the worst predicaments at times.

Beat it once by myself and once with my brother and I w/ co-op campaign. The AI is really good, it feels like you're playing online at times.

We're playing through it again on the hardest difficulty for kicks.

Nah. I beat it on the hardest difficulty, Superhuman, no sweat. And although it wasn't as hard as, say, Legendary - it was far more enjoyable.

Legendary as in Halo series Legendary? Legendary is not hard. All it takes is patience, thats it. And whats important is that Resistance had far better AI than any Halo game has had.

I finished it several times too, on the hardest difficulty and I also think it was underrated, even with all the acclaim it got and still gets. I loved the imaginative weapons and the smooth frame rate. I'll probably get blasted for this, but when I saw GeoW on my friend's 360 for the 1st time, I wasn't as impressed as most people were, thanks to R:FOM. I think Resistance 2 will be incredible!

I beat it months ago. It was a pretty good game, and I thought the story was decent. I think it took me around 12 hours or so, which is pretty lengthy nowadays. I wasn't in love with the health system, and really missed good ole regen. The last level/ battle blowing up the node was alot of fun.

Yeah I beat it on normal, found it pretty difficult actually. The game was kind of underrated to be honest -- the lengthy, enjoyable campaign + the multiplayer with all the cool weaponry made for a good package overall, especially for a launch game. But I think it's sold over 2 million copies worldwide, so that's good for Insomniac. Resistance 2 is going to be amazing, I think.

When i first got my PS3, i was hooked on both that and gripshift for about 3 months. pretty much everything in that game is solid, and it definately is one of the most underrated games ive ever played.

I actually quite enjoyed the story, although i do agree i wish there was more to it.

I have finished it three times. Once by myself and twice through co-op with my friends. I personally enjoyed the story of the game and the gameplay throughout. The ending where Hale gets kidnapped by the Cloven is very intruging indeed. The mulitplayer lasted me for three to four months. Seeing that Insomniac could make such an awesome game at the release of the ps3, I have really high hopes for resistance 2. Resistance was a bit rushed for the release, but the next one will just be AAAA, I have just got a feeling. Btw, this game is not underratted. It has sold over 2.5 million copies around the world and gotten a 87% average on gamerankings.

bad textures

old gameplay mechanics/ too generic.

yeh, only the story was a let down...

btw, some 1 said it was hard, id disagree. the game is close to scripted, so once you do something once you know what to expect and can easily get past. there were definitely difficult moments (the stalkerat the bridge:evil: ) but there are game out there mile harder

not to put it down or anything, its pretty dam brilliant and the weaponry alone pushes it above a lot of other games. who else was like " OMGZ!! I LOVES YOU" when it said... "you have finished the game, bonus weapons are unlocked for campaign"
