Who is going to pay $249 for Beatles Rock Band!

Honestly I think Harmonix, The Beatles and EA missed the boat on this one. You can Buy a Wii for the price of this Bundle. The Guitars are $100 without the game and the game only has 45 songs. I bought the game and love it. But in this economy who is going to pay this much? PS3 wasn't selling til it hit $299 and that for a console with a blu-ray player. Sounds to me like the widows of Lennon and Harrison want to cash in. Or The instrument liscenser's Gretsch and Rickenbacker. I would have bought the Gretsch if it was bundled like guitar hero for $100 might have even bought it for $120. You don't even get 4 mics? This one will bite EA when these bundles sit unsold!

I agree with the TOC. I can't imagine many of these units selling. I'm hoping they go clearance. I wish they did a KISS one

Yeah. Let's change the game a little bit. As well as playing the music, do such timing activities as breathing fire and spitting blood on que. Have a mini game of putting on the make up properly. And borrow from the beatles by going through their history (Japan, etc.) Oh man, the possibilities!

No it doesnt mean they are automatically good but it does mean they have influenced just about every artist to pick up a guitar from then on or inspired the bands that inspired them to play. And theyre English :) all the rock legends are English :D

Agreed. SW would be one of the last places I would look for people with taste in music. Especially if the music is more than 5 years old. :roll:

As far as the bundle goes? Nope, didn't get it. Could not justify the price, especially since I have RockBand controllers already. I really wanted the Hofner Bass though. If they sell it solo eventually like the Gretsch and Rickenbacker then it's mine. :twisted:

And the game will be fine, 2 of my friends bought a console just for this game.

$249 for this is high way robbery. I paid $55 dollars for the first Rock Band and that is all I would pay for this if I like the Beattles. I mean I could almost buy and XBOX elite with this price as that is the only system I don't have. I would rather buy an elite which I don't care for over this overpriced set.

I really wonder why this is even it's own game, I thought DLC would work perfectly fine. That's the problem with Guitar Hero and Rockband now, they both refuse to just come out with one game and then keep releasing new albums on the online market place.

The reason it's $249 is because the instruments look like the ones the band actually played. Hell yes I think it's worth it.

I'm only buying the game and 2 Microphones I already have the instruments from Rockband 1.

I would like to get this game since i don't have either GH or RB but enjoyed playing them at friends but $249, that's a lot of money. For that money, you could get a xbox 360 pro :P93soccer

I cant belive it took this long for someone to post what you posted. Unless your a hardcore beatles fan then i dont expect anyone to get the special edition for 250, you can get the normal edition for 135 for the game and normal instruments.

To answer the TC's question though i am really considering it. I have only owned Guitar hero 2, i was ok and got a little bored because the track list was a handful of good songs, some ok songs, and some really bad ones so i got pretty bored of it. But i am a huge beatles fan so i would be in my prime with the track list, backround graphics of the different venues, the band as they progress, and the dreamscapes, plus all the silly extras like unlocking pictures songs and video, PLUS the band studio chater between songs. I wont be getting it soon, but maybe i can get a good deal during the holiday season.
