So why bother posting about it in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with it in the first place if itgoes without saying?
Why bother posting about it not having anything to do with the thread if your post has nothing to do with the thread? If it bothers you so much then why derail a thread with your whiney post? My post was deleted by a mod, for 'apparently' disruptive posting, im guessing your the one that reported that, ( yes Gamespoters. I really did get moderated for posting "Nintendo" ) yet the only desruptive posting iv seen in here is from you...
If you got modded for disruptive posting then it was probably because you posted about Nintendo milking the most when this thread is a poll about Capcom and Activision.
And how was my post "whiney" again? I was merely pointing out to you that this thread has absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo, no whining there.
I'll have to say Capcom...at least Activision lets you know right off the bat that another COD is coming out next year...Capcom releases an updated version of the same thing mere months away, and keeps you guessing how long the re-release of that will come out :P. DethSkematikExactly. What Capcom does is like if Activision released Black Ops, then said they were going to make two map packs, but after the game comes out they say you need to buy Hardened edition to get the two maps and then a week after Hardened Edition of BLOPS comes out they reveal that Modern Warfare 3 is coming out in 3 months. Activision, for as much milking as they do, they stick to a regular schedule for all their milking and they don't deviate from it. Capcom floods the market with new versions of the same game whenever they feel like it, and they drop support for the old ones as soon as their new baby rolls out of the factory.
I still don't get how Capcom milks. EVERY company milks thier game. What do you think DLC is for? You don't think that is milking? Trying to get more money out of the game? You don't think when companies put that online pass thing in games trying to make a quick buck off used games. At least Capcom made improvments off the Vanilla version of MvC3. You would be spending more money buying the DLC od PSN and XBL than buying on disc. Capcom has been making Super versions of their games since the SNES days and now you guys start to complain. Wow just wow.

Disruptive posting has got to be the dumbest flag I've ever seen, and I wish Gamespot would remove it because it's very easy to abuse. Anyway, so that I don't get flagged for DP... Capcom sucks, shouldn't have canceled MML3, and shouldn't be half-assing UMVC3 6 months after MVC3 Vanilla was released (which was also a half-assed game). If UMVC was DLC it should be $20 tops. If I had to pay $5 per character I'd only buy like 3, because most of them don't interest me at all. The only way they can put guys like Hawkeye in there is because you're buying the game anyway. If Hawkeye was $5 as DLC I can almost guarantee you hardly anyone would buy him.I still don't get how Capcom milks. EVERY company milks thier game. What do you think DLC is for? It's easy to say Capcom because they are not as creative with naming their milked games. If Activision called the Call of Duty series what Capcom would everyone would see that they are as bad if not worse. Call of Duty 4. Super Call of Duty 4. Super Call of Duty 4 Arcade Edition. Super Call of Duty 4 Turbo.GoldenElementXLThat's why MW2 dropped the 4 in front of it. CoD has something like 10 games in it.
Activison has made more money off their milking, so I'll go with them.gamefan67
That really doesn't make sense. Just because they are more successful in their sales doesn't mean they milk more.

I would buy him. And you can't speak for yourself, Hawkeye is a popular character within the Marvel universe. Besides wouldn't you rather play with 12 chracacters and expiremement with them instead of just playing as 3 chars? Even if Capcom did release DLC chars instead, you guys would still be complaing in some manner. You Capcom haters are never happy. At least Capcom puts new content in their games unlike Activision.

Marvel vs. Capcom is a crossover game, and that means that deviance from fan-favorites is at a premium. If your favorite characters aren't in the game, then the game is a lot less attractive. If we're supposed to learn a new cast of characters without our fan favorites, then they might as well not do a crossover, and people might as well just learn a new game that has neither Marvel or Capcom characters. Fanservice is a major component of what makes crossover games appealing, and when devs start saying "I'm going to make this game the way I want to play it, and the fans will just deal with it" then you are weakening the appeal of having a crossover.
Imagine if in the next Smash Bros. game Nintendo dropped Mario from the roster because "he's too generic / boring," and they replaced him with some obscure character that most people haven't heard of and don't care about. If they're taking the "my favorite character vs. your favorite character" element out and replacing it entirely with "play all these guys until you find one you're good with," then we might as well just play a game that's not a crossover.

And in pointing that out your post had nothing to do with the topic either, and since you are merely doing that, then you shouldnt mind that I merely pointed out Nintendo...
