I'd say Spiderman, because in Spiderman 2 you can piledrive someone headfirst into the pavement... from 200 stories up! I'd call that pretty brutal. A whole twenty seconds of considering how big your splatter radius is going to be.Tylendal

In God of War 2, Kratos piledrives someone from the surface of the earth into its core. Well, not exactly, but close.

Remember, this isn't a power contest, or comparing accomplishments. Yes, you have to be strong to be a badass, but just being strong doesn't qualify you enough to be a badass. It's about style and personality.

For instance, Kefka is very strong, but he isn't badass. Sure, he basically destroyed the world on a whim. But he did it by shoving some statues around. Sure, he killed everyone in a castle, but it was by poison. Sure, he's practically a god, but he's a clown. Clowns aren't badass. 

Kratos didn't just slaughter the God of War, or fight his way out of Hades twice. It's the brutality and aggression he brings to everything he does. Any powerful being can kill Medusa. But Kratos did it by ripping off her head, which he proceeds to use to petrify his foes during the remainder of the game.

Now that's badass.

I'm not going to declare him the ultimate badass, but very few people measure up to his standard.
