It's very unusual for an MMORPG to not have point-and-click. How many MMOs have you played besides WoW?
Shad0ki11
Of course they all have clicking there for grandma, and pre-teens to use, but any good player in the high rated arena brackets, or world top 300 raiding guilds use these things called keybinds....and Warhammer, Aion, WOW, and little evercrack back in the day. Clickers...
You didn't answer my question.

WoW is horrible to me especially the character style ewww...
It's just boring point and click.
I rather play a fast paced combo mmorpg like Continent of the Ninth or strategic mmorpg like Mabinogi Heores.
Both blow away WoW.
Also Blade and Soul is not out yet and there hasn't even been a closed beta or alpha in Korea yet.
I would know if there was because i would be playing it.
I think Blade and Soul is on par with Continent of the Ninth or maybe a tad bit better.....it's hard to tell when it's not even out yet.

HAHAHAHAHA you point and click in wow?!?!?! No wonder you dont like it, thats the surest indicator of a complete nOOb player. The arena or BG's in wow are faster paced, and more intense than any other MMO, and the raid dungeons make any other mmo's just seem flat out pathetic. Really there is no comparison, unless your lying to youreself because you werent good enough to be in a top raid guild, or got smashed in pvp. Point and click muwahahahahahah!
Nah it is point in click even if you use WASD.
WASD are for movement, every one of your abilities are supposed to be used by pressing the corresponding keybind on your keyboard. For instance for my mage blink is T, spell steal is G, ice block is B. If at any time you let go of the right mouse button which is what turns your character your not doing it right. Clicking the abilities and turning with the keyboard is worse than say, playing a fps with a single d pad, if your trying to face someone with a M/KB, you would obviously get smashed. So obviously you have no clue how to actually play WOW. As far as the silly MMO's you have mentioned, wow has more in one raid tier than the entire game, period. Sure its niche so you feel "cool" playing it, but WOW is played by so many millions because it is simply the very best, and should go down as one of the single greatest video games of all time, whereas these wierd asian mmo's will be quickly forgotten. And I like how you try to explain the combat, if it was any good there would be tournaments for it. Of that there isnt, but of WOW's arena which is very very highly skill based, theres huge big money tournaments. That proves it right there.
The reason WoW is successful is marketing and that it's been out for almost 6 years.
Without blizzard being behind WoW it wouldn't have gained such popularity.
WoW is above average when comparing it to most MMORPGS it does carry alot of content.
But over the years they have dumbed down the game and made it very easy.
I got bored of WoW's combat because it wasn't really fun anymore.
I find the combat in Mabinogi: Heroes and Continent of the Ninth to be a breathe of fresh air.
In Continent of the Ninth the battle style is newer and more impressive.
Just look at this PvP battle to understand what I mean.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9soRj6F-t7Y
It requires alot of skill bequase you must aim all your attacks and dodge all the enemies attacks in order to not take damage.
It isn't as much as a luck battle where you can sit there and automatically dodge their attacks.
You must be very quick a precise with combos .
In Mabinogi Heroes you must have a very good team to do the later boss battles.
Some bosses can instantly kill you in one hit.
For instance the black giant wolf boss has two minions and together they both race across the screen at high speed dash back and forth at you.
One of the only ways to take them down is to get the Defender to block the incoming attacks while kneeling down and have other players aim a grappling hook at the wolf's legs and pull to trip him and try to keep him on the ground.
One of the hardest bosses at the moment is the blood lord.

The reason I like these games over WoW is that the gamelay ****is fast and action paced.
I like that in order to dodge you must actually roll away or you have to hit the block key and some heavy hits needs you to kneel down and block in order to stay safe.
I like that you have to aim all your attacks and there isn't a cool down period or anything like that.
You have a stamina meter and doing things like running, picking up objects, blocking or using attacks will drain it.
Once it is drained you will try to catch a breath and become tired and at this moment you are most vulnerable this is why it is good to take a short rest before heavy attacks or blocking for long periods of time.
So these games are fun and refreshing to play and are the best looking mmorpgs out at the moment.
Some character class armor.
An early in game screenshot to show how your armor can rip and shatter and so can your shield.
It even shows some of the metal plates dangling from the shirt.
A screenshot of fishing
A screenshot of fighting the Blood Prince boss, me and another player chained the boss back while the other slashed him up and splattered his blood against the walls.
From what I've seen, Aion is set to be GFX king if their next GFX engine update really comes to fruition.
Just take a look at their Aion Vision video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JosNJFscKH8
Totally blew me away in some parts.

Nah Continent of the Ninth still looks better.
Also by the time that comes out other Games like TERA and Blade and Soul will be out which will easily beat it.
Right now Aions graphics are actually pretty ugly for the time it came out in.
So far nothing has beaten Continent of the Ninth and it was released last year.
Age of Conan that game is gorgeus for any game not only mmos. The views in that game are breathtaking. In Aion everything looks good but the terrain compared to the characters or basically the rest of the game is low res in AoC...just watch hd videos its beautiful.
Yeah pretty much all of these great character model MMOs, have AWFUL textures. Age of Conan did both pretty well, but I did not find the game much fun after a while. FFXIV is going to look better than anything, it has beautiful character models and textures, it can't really be compared to AoC since the art direction is so different, but it will easily wreck all the games in this topic when you consider all aspects of technical graphics.Age of Conan that game is gorgeus for any game not only mmos. The views in that game are breathtaking. This is the one genre that being the graphics king of truly has no merits, of course thats to a certain point, no one wants to play an mmo that looks like its from 1995. But WOW's style, and gameplay quality are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than any other wannabee MMO, that none of them really matter anyway.

No those games are actually terrible on all fronts.[QUOTE="Hakkai007"][QUOTE="chrion133"]

No those games are actually terrible on all fronts.Says the person who probably hasn't played those games at all.
I would have to say out of all the released MMORPGs the title for graphics king goes to Continent of the Ninth.
All Screenshots are taken by me.
Oh and here is a video also recorded by me.

wow that's looks incredible fantastic graphcis and very visually appealing. The game can be a grindfest i would play it for the graphic alone.
I think I made have shown that Mabinogi: Heroes and Continent of the Ninth are the 2 top best looking MMORPGs out at the moment.
And might as throw in some EPIC boss music.

A pic of the castle outside the town in Heroes.
And a pic of one of the hardest bosses in the game who can teleport all over the place and is a b*tch to block and attack.
Hakkai007
