Technically impressive sound? I'm not quite sure what you mean.
Do you mean complex scores or best use of sound effects or best sound design?
Every 360 game because you could use custom soundtracks.

You have no idea what he is talking about do you?
Bioshock makes excellent use of sound.
Playing it in surround sound can be absolutely overwhelming.
Also, Call of Duty 4 has good sound effects, as does Dead Rising.
Mass Effect has great voice acting and music, as well.
Its simple what game had the best sound in it? Just like all this graphics talk its all opinion on whats more important to you for graphics technical or artistic. Hes asking what game blew you away the most with their sound.
Mine personal favorite is Final Fantasy X but thats because Ive never played a RPG with as good voice acting and musical composition at the time so it wins by just being my favorite.
Super Mario Galaxy for now. When Brawl comes out, it will more than likely beat it.
Seriously, I actually looked up some of the songs on YouTube because I thought it was so good. One of my favorite parts is when you are blasting off to Toy Time Galaxy, and right when you land, the classic Mario music begins. And you are just there, in front of a big Chu-Chu Train. It's awesome.
[QUOTE="MoldOnHold"]I was a little tired of seeing threads about graphics. Why not sound ?Technically impressive sound? I'm not quite sure what you mean.

I always thought that the MGS series had terrific sound that really drew me into the experience. I can say the same for Bioshock, with all of it's ambient effects. There's probably more out there but I don't take note usually. :?
A runner-up would be DMC4, it makes excellent use of it's sword/gun noises. It's especially cool to hear the Red Queen's engine thing running when you're not even charging it.Agreed on all of those. Now if only they could replace that retarded techno fight track.
