Who is the XBox 1 Marketed for?

Bro gamers, they play with friends and do multiplayer games like Call of Duty/Destiny it seems they've all made the transition from 360 to the PS4 and skipped the xbox one entirely.

Single player gamers, most single player gamers play stuff like God of War, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, these franchises are usually always on playstation and always play best on playstation, and the multiplats are all running better due to the better ram, and gpu, while PC is the best xbone is dead last an ps4 is 2nd best in this depeartment an most 280 dollar computers cannot out perform a ps4 (factoring in the GTA5/TLoU bundle

Indie Gamers, i dunno what the heck is going on but PS4 is getting most of the indies like 1 year earlier than xbone and like most of the came out like a year earlier on ps4 and some remastered like tomb raider are playing better on ps4 so what the heck is going on? DayZ creator said he didn't like the xbones indie policy etc etc etc

Value gamers, PS4 just has better value like it was like 400 dollars for last of us + GTA 5, your controller can recharge no batteries and has a microphone jack in it while the xbox one controller you need to pay 50 dollars to be able to do both of those. The PSN is 10 dollars cheaper than xbone and gives better value.

Niche Market gamers - its got street fighter fighting games, its got anime games, its got PS-Now for people who wanna stream games, its got all these things covered and the anime games on xbone suck and its not getting street fighter and has no streaming service

most of the ps3 short comings like crappy controller and bad online service have improved with the ps4 while the xbone seem to be a regression for microsoft

@lostrib: yes i own MCC beat it legendary and play the online and some halo 5 beta but i wanted this to be my main console and i feel like i need to buy a ps4 due to what microsoft has done and now its just a side console its not a main one like the ps4 imo

At first I couldn´t believe the rumors, how can a company pretend to "own" what I have paid them for ? why I can´t lend my games to friends/family ? hey I paid for that game !, excuse me but I don´t have Internet at home ( back then I didn´t have ), how am I supposed to play ? the rumors got stronger, actually it was pretty much confirmed that the rumors were not just rumors but real policies the company was going to impose and then I took my decission for my new console :

And I purchased a PS4, now you know how millions of Xbox owners just like me purchased PS4s instead of XB1s. MS learned the lesson, it cost them millions of units they didn´t sell that Sony sold, but since I´m no fanboy now with the change of policies I do see a X1 in my future, there are several game series I have in Xbox 360 that I would like to have in X1, Halo, if there is a GOW, Batman, Tomb Raider.

XB1 controller battery life is crap if u leave it on for 3 days straight you have to buy 2 new double aa batteries which very very expensive in this market place

I definitely get where you are coming from, MS has been on a fucking up spree since they first announced the xbone and the MCC was just the icing on the cake. It's a shame you have so much remorse over the purchase, ps4 and wiiu definitely look like the top two consoles for 2015.

Sunset Overdrive doesn't have skateboards or aliens, and it seems quite hypocritical to denounce Sunset Overdrive for being cartoony in one sentence and then immediately praise Mario kart which has the same cartoony/fun style as sunset overdrive over its realistic counter parts (forza/gran turismo).

More people bought Titanfall and dead rising on xbox 1 than PC. The PC version of titanfall has a very small active user base compared to xbox ones, and dead rising was/is an un-optimized buggy mess on PC unless that has recently changed, which led to low sales.

On topic: Xbox still pushes for a more multiplayer experience than PS4's more single player focused games, so in the end the Xbox one targets online focused players more so than the PS4. the Xbox one also currently has an advantage in retail titles where as the PS4 really only has infamous second son in the way of a quality game outside of last gen ports.

People that play games like any console

Right now I don't see a reason to purchase an XB1 over a PS4. Neither the XB1, or PS4 have enough exclusives to be purchased on those titles alone. They are both mainly multiplat machines and in my opinion the PS4 is the better buy in that regard. Things can change when more exclusives arrive, but right now the PS4 is the console to own.

The Wii U would be my 2nd choice, but only when it gets the much needed price cut. $299.99 is still too much for a Mario Box. Thing should cost $249.99 at most with a pack-in game.

i just like the style of mario kart more than the style of sunset overdrive its just a style thing for me, i know they are both cartoony but i hate the 90's rocker style of sunset.

it download games VERY slowly took me 12 hours to download halo MCC i have 65 mbps connection ps4 i heard games download an lightning speeds

that is NOT a good download for online play

AW is running at 1080p 60fps online while xb1 scales back graphics constantly all i know is it looks more gimpy on xb1 multiplayer that is worse multiplayer experience imo and its 50 dollars per year instead of 60

and destiny gets exclusive content first an the ram makes it run smoother and more ppl are playing online on ps4 just go look at twitch an stuff

so dont tell me xbox one pushes multiplayer experience the matchmaking is very slow in MCC even with all these patches its slow and it was down christmas just like PSN XBL goes down just as much for me as PSN lately and if psn down a little more its not buy like a crapton more imo

I own titanfall on both xbox one and PC, and dead rising on PC. I enjoy PC more but unfortunately most of my friends do not, so I tend to buy games for the xbox one aswell to play with them. I think its pretty well known that the PC version of titanfall doesnt have that large of a community around though.

As for the multiplayer experience MS exclusives are more well known for their multiplayer and tend to push it more. Games like Halo and Gears of war where some of the biggest multiplayer games last gen, and then games like sunset overdrive have multiplayer to extend replayability, while PS4 has counter part games like infamouse that have no multiplayer, or games that have multiplayer like uncharted but it is more of an after thought to its singler player experience. What does the PS4 really have that has an active online community that cant be found on the xbox one at the moment? Killzones multiplayer community has become very small and infamouse has no multiplayer, what is really left that isn't a multiplat?

As for your fighting comment street fighter 5 is a big deal but it is not out yet, and I believe that killer instinct is the only next generation fighting game that is being placed in tournaments like evo.
