never played Uncharted 3, but if it's anything like Uncharted 2 then yes, Gears 3 has better gunplay

honestly Uncharted 2 felt like I was using pea shooters.

The same goes to Halo Anniversary, BTW

Gears 3 has probably the best gunplay out of anything third person shooter in recent memory on consoles. Alhough if max Payne 3 is anything like it is on pc on consOles then mp3 takes the cake

Charlie sheens when uncharted is called a shooter thus providing proof the ps3 has just as many if not more shooters then the 360: nu uh it is not a shooter its an adventure game. Charlie sheens when gears of war 3 a shooter game a game dedicated to shooting mechanics is said to have better gunplay then uncharted: nu uh uncharted has superior gunplay. by the way tc you are a moron no recoil? lol I guess rapid firing a hammerburst in iron sight mode or using the retro lancer produced no recoil for you.

Uncharted has better sp gunplay because of the ai. Gears has better mp though. Uncharted is worth maybe 20hrs of playtime. With Gears deep mp you can sink 100's of hours into it.

Of course sticking them on the walls can change a game, but I've already became super conscious of them whenever I played online. And throwing them means putting your weapon away, which I will admit is a strange complaint since I never complained about this in Uncharted DF. Another complaint I have about grenades (and yes, this is also slightly silly), is that there's an unneeded variety of them. Multiple types of grenades work in Halo but I felt that Smoke grenades just felt silly in Gears because I don't feel like using them in the first place and because Smoke grenades are useless outside of small maps like Thrashball. Feel free to educate me on the Boltok and the pistols of the Gears series side they all feel weak and ineffective to me.

Boltok is basically the power of shotgun with the range of sniper. A headshot = instakill. Very powerful weapon. There is also the Kantus pistol which is an SMG which chews through people at short range, and even the human pistol (when active reloaded properly) can down someone very quickly.

All true. Though outside of the Boltok, Gears 3 is the first time any of them have been useful.

I never used Meatshields in online play because I got easily shot in the back or side when I did. And pistols with AR never helped me much in any campaign or MP. Although I would not mind listening to your perspective on the topic since you probably have played more Gears online than I have.

well specifically the pistols even with AR or not can be deadly specially if you surprise your opponent or have a meat shield meatshielding is best used in tight confines so they cant get behind you and you can get a hell of alot of assists using a pistol if your buddies are helping out. Grenade? I can't bring my self to try and tell you how important they are in gears of war 3 its pretty obvious I can see how you would think the pistol maybe worthless since its that way in all games for the most part including uncharted but the grenades are obviously effective.

Totally agree with this, a well placed Frag can completely change the outcome of a game. I had a match the other day on The Slab where I was the last person alive on my team and the other team had all 5 of them alive but where out of lives too. I planted a Frag behind one of the pillars coming up to frag spawn and there whole team ran into it, (I threw the other frag in for good measure too) without that, there's no way I would have won.

I do know what the weapons are haha, I have the entire series. Boltok takes too long in between shots and I'll admit, I'm pretty terrible at headshots no matter what online game I play. Kantus pistol is too often negated by a Lancer, Retro Lancer, or a shotgun. Same with the human pistol which is frankly a joke in my opinion (all these with AR too) I'm not arguing with you though, I just feel that pistols have always felt useless in Gears as compared to Uncharted where every pistol is useful, although some becoming silly like the TAU (I think?) in Uncharted.

Gears of War 2 is the laggiest POS I have ever had the misfortune to play.

Also I'd just like to point out that you can't play on the dedicated servers in Gears 3 if you don't have the DLC

For an "arcade" shooter, it is perfected. The enemies in the Gears series have absolutely no reaction to your billets hitting them unless it's a headshot with a devistating weapon, a shotgun, or a melee weapon. In UC, you and the emeny responds to every shot that makes contact. Overall gunplay, I would give it to Gears, but not by a huge bit though.

If you like it. Gears 3 was great and all (even though the learning curve on that game with the community makes BF3 learning curve seem as easy as breathing), but Gears 1 & 2 didn't click with me at all. I found both game to have horrid MP, and I never was a fan of UC MP either.

Gears MP is only for the hardcore.
