Most major previews for Halo 3(by major meaning:Gamespot, IGN, Joystiq, etc.)
Joystiq: Once the game popped up, we noticed that it looked, frankly (no pun intended) a lot more gorgeous than the multiplayer beta. We're not talking Crysis levels of photorealistic details here, but pretty close.
We weren't shown nearly enough to critique the single-player game, but so far it looks promising. We left Frankie to collapse into his gaming-induced coma, while we continued dreaming about possibly (hopefully?) being able to actually finish the fight.
IGN: If you've got any qualms about the visual fidelity of the single-player game, let's just put those to rest right off the bat.
Nearly everyone in attendance agreed that this was the footage that Microsoft should have closed the press conference with, as it surely would have impressed just about everyone in attendance. The game is definitely shaping up nicely, and the single-player campaign looks much better than the multiplayer
Gamespot: Well, what we saw wasn't quite final, but the graphics were undeniably better and more advanced than those seen in the beta. The game pops out right at you. The visuals are clear and crisp, as well as bright and colorful.
Bungie has the next couple of months to polish and bug fix, though what we saw looked to be almost ready for primetime. All we can say is that it's going to be a long 11 weeks until September 25.
Fanboys can hate, but what they miss kills them, in this case Halo 3
LET'S FINISH THIS FIGHT CHIEF!
