I actually think there are more 360 owners than units sold.JandurinI don't get it:?. Do you mean 2 people share a 360?

So it stays the same basically. And I don't think competitions would increase sales much.
How do you define "user". The only definitive piece of data would be the gamertag, which you can retrieve onto your new console.

I mean consumer.Yeah, that's right. Even though MS repairs consoles for FREE, every single owner instead just went out and bought another one :roll:
If anything, PS2 with it's DRE issues, and Sony charging for all repairs, that so called 130+ million user base would be the myth ;)
And just because this thread really needs it

So you're telling me that you don't know anyone who bought a second 360 to have one while the other is in the shop or anyone who bought a second 360 because, at the time, the extended warranty didn't cover their particular hardware crash since it wasn't RROD? Really?

I had one RROD and used the warranty, don't know anyone else of the 4 people I personally know who bought a second console. I've heard of some people here who buy from Best Buy, but then return it before the month is out for the full refund when they get their own console back. Actually, not sure how that bought-and-refunded thing would work into the figures.
ive already gone through 8 360's and thats WITH the intercooler.Mr_LubeIn which case I suggest you stop using the intercooler...The 360 (nor the PS3) was ment to have those things on them.

Yeah, aaaaaand nobody here (of level 8 or higher) is giving you any credibility on that one.

First of all the whole, "my friend, cousin, bother, grandma, etc. went through X amount of 360's" doesn't go over too well here. Second, if it's true, that's your cousin's fault. All he had to do was pay the $100 to get the first one replaced, and given another warranty. Then, when they extended the warranty, they would have given him that $100 back. Paying full price for another 360, when it only cost $100 to get it replaced is dumb. This story doesn't even make sense to me, now that I think about it. They extended the warranty a year and a half after the 360 was launched. So, even if his first console wasn't covered, his second 360 would have been. Try a little harder next time.ive already gone through 8 360's and thats WITH the intercooler.Mr_LubeLet's pretend for a moment that I believe you. The intercooler has been know to CAUSE RROD. So that could have been your problem. That's if I believed you, though. :)

and psn owners as gamers are smaller than they appear because most of the initial buyers only bought it for the cheap blu ray playerI'm sure it is a lot more even than you think.
Personally I like to look at the XBL numbers, that gives a much better representation of how many users are really active.
So, you're suggesting 10 million, give or take a couple, have bought new 360s because of RROD? Wow. You do realize there are people out there that have a 360, but no internet, right? I know a couple of them, myself.be smaller than it appears due to replacements from system failures?

You don't even have to own a Playstation to get counted.ive already gone through 8 360's and thats WITH the intercooler.Mr_Lubethats why youve gone through 8 consoles. that intercooler royaly screws with your 360. stop using that POS youre only screwing yourself in the long run...

Before that, if your 360 broke, you had to call customer service and talk to some guy in india who could barely speak english, **** around with him for a very long time, only to hear him tell you "sucks for you, you have to pay $170 dollars for us to fix it". And at first they didnt even give you a box, you had to get your own.
The extended warranty hasnt been around for the 360s whole lifetime, and couple that with the fact that MS knowingly shipped the 360 while 60% of them had failed BEFORE THEY EVEN LEFT THE FRIGGIN WAREHOUSE.
The 360 failure rate was MUCH MUCH higher back then as well, what do you think those people did? Oh, and dont forget the early disk tray problems that MS basically said "sucks to be you" to, when your $60 game was permanently ruined by the 360 (the PS2s DRE was nowhere near as widespread, and DRE did not destroy the actual game disks)
I'm sure it is a lot more even than you think.

You do realize there are people out there that have a 360, but no internet, right? I know a couple of them, myself. Lol, why is it that Cows always get shot down when WE mention people WE "know in real life" who have gotten RROD? if you read my post above, my best friend was one of the people who bought a whole new 360 after his broke. *Remember, MS didnt always repair them for free, and didnt start doing so until July 5th, 2007.*Well, there is what? Double the software sales on the 360 than the PS3?
I have a hunch that there are quite a few 360 owners regardless of replacements. I think people actually realize there's a 3 year warranty. I don't think people are actually going out and buying 3 or 4 replacements as has been exaggerated that's for sure.
