Who wants a PS4, XBOX 3 and a SNWii??

I would like to have a new gen at least next year, with more features and more HP on the consoles.

I just beg that MS and Sony don't go all Move and Kinect, we want games for normal controllers too!!

I actually would like that, and love if Nintendo call it Super Nintento Wii. That would be awesome.

you won't see a new system (PS or XBox)for at least 3 years. The reason? All of the money that was spent on the Kinect and Move. Nintendo has the best chance of coming out with something new because of it's lack of everything the other 2 offer.

I can't wait for the PS13, where all you do is buy a chip, go to the hospital to hire a surgeon, and they implant the mentioned chip into your brain... O_O. Then life becomes a game!

I'll wait till 2016, the latest.

Not a chance. 3DS is their main focus this year. Skyward sword will be out soon also. That interview that said it was over half complete was conducted during E3, therefore it is still on track.

Nintendo has dumped a ton of money into it and is making a lot of 1st party games for it at the moment. If they try to pump out a new console 8 months later, they are going to be stretched thin. I am thinkiing 2012 with a 2D/3D Mario in glorious HD.

some good points there. But you have to remember, they don't have to have the best launch in the world for a new console. The gamecube launched with luigis mansion, (great game btw) and the wii launched with twilight princess. They'll be fine when they launch the super wii next year.

Of course I could always be wrong, but I doubt it.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure Nintendo won't send out their next console this year. Now if we're talking about 2012, then hell yeah!

As for MS, they may want to try to launch before Sony again. Sure, they invested alot into Kinect, but I'm sure Kinect will be compatible with the '720'. It's not like next gen is going to be a huge jump power-wise like this one was.

Sony? I'm not sure. They may not want to let MS launch before them again. If both Ms and nintendo launch next year, would Sony just sit back for a year or two? I doubt it. They may release PS4 sooner than we expect, but then again there is that whole PS3 10 year life cycle thing...

I got a pretty good gfx card for xmas so not bothered.

I think the PS3 and 360 have plenty of life left in them. I think we'll hear about the next gen from MS and Sony at E3 2012.

Not happening this year, but I could see Nintendo trying something by 2012. But i'm certain somebody is gonna do something in 2013, if not everyone.

I'm not sure I'm ready for next generation console, at least for another 2-3+ years.

I believe we're just starting to see games take proper advantage of the hardware and I'm hopping for more excellent titles to follow in 2011 footsteps before we see new consoles on the market.

PC gaming in particular has me very exited this year, WRPG's in general.

Both the PS3 and 360 still have a lot of life and untapped power. Each new year of games keeps on looking better and better and better. Till we hit a point where the progress just stops I'm fine with what I got.

Though even if a new gen started my PS3 would still get a LOT of use. It would easily become a media center somewhere in my house. likely my bedroom. Not like the PS3 becomes useless when the PS4 launches...

Another reason I want a few more years is Dev costs are already ridiculous. Maybe if we give them a chance to catch up this whole nickel and diming us thing will fall on the back burner.

Maybe they'll call it the WII SD.

Three years in a row of 7mil units sold.... they dont NEED anything.

I'd rather see the new consoles released either this year or next. I think the big 3 can squeeze in a new generation of technology before HVD comes out in 2017/2018.

Aren't Kinect and Move supposed to be next gen? That's at least another 10 years. We're talking 2020 or 2021 at the earliest.

Actually, move those back a year. I want Nintendo to do late 2012 and the others in 2013 because otherwise it would be a long wait until the E3 reveal for all this hardware. I really want to see those press conferences.

No.. Inless the next gen consoles showed real improvement with UI and other such things.. From multiplayer to abilities outside of gaming.. As a pc gamer I am perfectly fine where the graphics are at on my PS3.. Its the things that are lacking outside of graphics that piss me off.. Graphics are hitting a impasse to me.. All games are look great, and its not that factor at all that makes me want to play more of it.. Consoles need to have more depth for me.. sSubZerOo

IMO what Sony and MS should add at the beginning in this generation is MORE RAM period

If we're doing it by typical cycles, then the Next gen shouldn't start until Q1 2012 at the very earliest.

But its looking doubtful that we'll get the processing leap from previous generation of it happens then. And considering we're on the boundaries of the uncanny valley.. to sell future consoles companies need that leap more than ever .
