If we're doing it by typical cycles, then the Next gen shouldn't start until Q1 2012 at the very earliest.
But its looking doubtful that we'll get the processing leap from previous generation of it happens then. And considering we're on the boundaries of the uncanny valley.. to sell future consoles companies need that leap more than ever .

Imagine the next consoles with i7 like processors and 2GB of RAM :)
you won't see a new system (PS or XBox)for at least 3 years. The reason? All of the money that was spent on the Kinect and Move. Nintendo has the best chance of coming out with something new because of it's lack of everything the other 2 offer.

This makes no sense to me, considering both Kinect AND Move could very EASILY be compatiple with a new system they release.
With that being said, I see no rush to jump into next gen. Better graphics don't make better games, as much as some people would like to think. If the PS4 and Xbox3 release with SLIGHTLY better graphics cards, and a lot more RAM (or whatever you need to have more/bigger objects on screen at a time), then I would be perfectly happy.

Yes, I don't know why people see the Move and Kinect as the next gen. Because its not!!!!
