Who was the best dev/publisher in 2010? (56k)

For me, without a doubt it was SEGA. I think they may even have the title from a numbers perspective too.

Bioware, because of this.

Sega probably published more games, but Mass Effect 2 is one of my all-time favorites.

Blizzard. Starcraft 2 and WoW: Cataclysm. Perfect games from a perfect developer (ok not even I can say that with a straight face.)

BioWare for sure. They released Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Awakening, and a ton of DLC for both games. They'll probably the best developer again this year with Dragon Age II, The Old Republic, Mass Effect 3 and the DLC that will undoubtedly ensue their releases. I don't know how they do it.

How utterly ironic that someone that says reviewers are completely biased and their awards/scores are meaningless and unwarranted would say such a thing about two of the highest critically praised and award winning titles of last year.

I agree with Sega, but NISA would be a noteable publisher for me because they published my GOTY ZHP ^^

Sega, even if they released Yakuza 3 at strange a time.

Yeah, I'd probably go with the Sega/Platinum combo as well.

Nintendo gave me the gaming experience of a life time with Super Mario Galaxy 2, but they also published Donkey Kong Country Returns, Sin and Punishment Star Successor, Dragon Quest IX (America and europe), Kirby's Epic Yarn, andMetroid Other M.

why exactly do publishers get so much credit?

rockstar because red dead redemption blew everything else out the water last year, and also for being one of the most competent devs in video game history.

I would have said Bioware because Mass Effect 2 was amazing, however I recently picked up Metroid Other M and loved every second of it. That along with Kirby, Donkey Kong, and SMG2 made me fall inlove with Nintendo last year. I used to ignore them completely at the beginning of this gen, a dumb mistake.
