no it isnt that dosent make any sense ms dropped first last gen because the xbox wasnt selling they arent having that problem this gen

? the 360 isn't doing that much better than the original...

the 360 makes microsoft a profite and sells far more software than the competition....

XBL is brings in a ton of business as well.
Third Parties are successful on the 360

The 360 is allready at 20 million without having to drop to the $199 price tag that XBOX needed just after the first year....

There have been major differences between the 360 and XBOX.

Wrong on the software part. The Wii sells the most software worldwide right now. It's been outselling the 360 since December.

As for the topic, the first to go will be MS.

Nintendo, and I think much sooner than later. The lack of quality software is appearant and that's due to the lack of powerful hardware, which is holding back 3rd party dev. interest.

MS will release a new system in 2010 and will drop the 360 like hot rocks.

Nintendo will ride he Wii thing for a long time, I think. Its amazing that it has already surpassed Gamecube sales in this short time........especially when you consider the Wii is a redesigned GC with mothion controls. They are on a roll, so more power to them.

Sony will likely get at least 8 years out of the PS3, but when it does end it will still gert support just like the PS 2 in now.

If the next xbox console is released a new console in 2010, sony will have no choice but to release a new console within a year and a half of that. You couldn't possibly expect for sony to try to compete with the next xbox with dated hardware for 4 years. By that logic, when sony releases the ps4, the 4th xbox will only be a year or 2 away.

Sony- Naw they won 2 generations so-far. And the 3rd will be another victory.

Nintendo- maybe. Maybe they will merge into a non-video game compay and make toys for babies?

Microsoft- .yes..since they obviously cant make a system that doesnt break every few months.

well i learned something today.

Either way point stands that 360 actually makes profits for Microsoft

Where as the XBOX never earned them anything.

Microsoft. The 360 was the first console to be released this generation and I think they are the only ones that have mentioned a successor for their current system. I think that either Nintendo or Sony will be the last ones to drop the support for their console, but I am leaning towards Nintendo because they are making too much money. I think the Wii is the PS2 of this generation, its games will keep on selling even after the next generation starts.

Microsoft, Sony seems like they are sticking with their 10 year cycle plan and Nintendo will continue to market the Wii until everyone in the world owns at least 2 Wii's.
