From the minute sonic went to 3D it sucked. Mega Man has successfully made the transition to 3D. Now the Sky is the limit for Mega Man.

forgot about sonic adventures already huh?The Wii won the vote on the capcom site for the platfor the next megaman should be on, so it's more likely it will go that way :)Arsuz
Too bad that the creator has no interest on making it for the Wii. It lacks the power that he's looking for. The Wii doesn't have the capability to even hope to run the 'Lost Planet' engine. In all the interviews above they only mention the PS3 and the 360. The chances of it coming out for the Wii are slim to none.

forgot about sonic adventures already huh?I didn't even like Sonic Adventues from the start. I remember it scored pretty good though. But Sonic in 3D didn't work for me.

Hopefully this comes true on the PS360!
"Anyway, in a surprise interview with the creator of Mega Man, 1UP asked if there were any plans to bring next-gen treatment the blue bomber's way. Keiji Inafune said that he'd like to, but worried that it would be impossible to recoup the costs of making such a game on next-gen platforms. So, when told to ignore the whole monetary part of it, he replied thus: "I think it probably would be Mega Man Legends 3. And that's not just me -- a lot of the original team members would also love to make a sequel. They talk about it. I talk about it sometimes. I know they love that series and so do I. If I were to say right now, I have a tiny, tiny, tiny dream that I wish I could realize, but I don't know if it's possible, it would be to do a sequel in the Legends series."
Hell. Yes. It's great to actually hear that -- it's Capcom's most promising Mega Man series, really. Promising, not lucrative. Inafune said that the engine to build that game on would probably be the same as that used in Dead Rising or Lost Planet, which makes sense. Especially if you compare the movement mechanics in the latter to the Legends games. We hope this happens -- if you're rich, Inafune is asking you to pelt him with change until he's got the cash. We'll pitch in."
Check this beast interview out!
My favorite Series of ALL time !!!!!!

Capcom has confirmed that Legends takes place far in the future beyond Mega Man, Mega Man X,Zero, and ZX. Hints dropped in Mega Man X5 help tie things together. In one of the endings, Earth is severely damaged when the Eurasia space colony crashes into it (this is corroborated during later X games and heavily factors into the Zero series). During reclamation efforts, X mentions that he wants to create a haven for Reploids and humans to live in peace, called...Elysium. As seen in Legends. Furthermore, the planet is mostly covered by water, that can be explained due to the catastrophic damage the colony crashed caused, complete with some heavy global warming to boot. Since the humans in Legends were found to have been created by the Master (a "perfect" human himself'), it's possible that sometime after the Eurasia crash, some of the remaining humans and Reploids on Earth built Elysium, and fled there. As their technology advanced over thousands of years, they were able to completely "rebuild" Earth and its population. This is where Legends takes place. Mega Man Legends is the last arc in the core Mega Man series. Doesn't anyone want to see it concluded?

MegaMan has not been very good ever since it got off the NES. And taking Megaman away from its sidescrolling roots didnt help...Hat_Damage
MegaMan Legends 2 got and 8.2. If that's not good then I don't know what is. It's the perfect way to continue the MegaMan series.
