whos breaking down and buying a 360?

got mine a year ago for Gears of War and Alan Wake.

I now have Alan Wake and 2 Gears games and the Beta for Gears 3.

This has nothing to do with PSN or the PS3 I just simply wanted to play 360 Exclusives.

I have a 360 sitting there, waiting to be fixed (RRoD). Not even this PSN outage will get me to fix it. Only thing I miss is Gears of War.

Its just a week. My God some people are just sad. :|

*cries* I know I am...I'm so sorry my Cow bretheren but I have sinned...I purchased a 250 gig 360 slim holiday bundle with Alan wake and Forza 3 pack in....I also preordered gears 3 and got in on the beta... it only cost me 310 dollars....*feels better after confessing* please forgive me...

Its hard to trust a company that released a broken console.

At the same time, i am extremely dissapointed in Sony, they really screwed up on this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few people switching over because of this, but I would think they would mainly be people who buy DLC etc. and are ticked their CC data might have been leaked. I doubt there are many people switching over just because they couldn't play COD for the week.

It certainly would suck to be a PS3 gamer in Toronto right now. The weather has been **** for the past few days or so with no sign of stopping anytime soon. :(

at this point both MS and Sony have proven to be unreliable in both hardware and software.....

I bought MK for the PS3 but since PSN is crippled I lost my patience and ended up buying it for the 360 so I can play with friends online.

I think serious console COD players should probably be on XBL anyway, more sales, more competetion and early map packs.

I think if there were such a thing as a serious CoD player (lol), they would likely play on PC, where dedicated servers make competition possible.

Nope. I have one already. I don't use it to play online. Nor do I use my PS3 online.

I don't notice the outage. But can understand the rage.

Why buy a 360 now, or a PS3 for that matter? Once Nintendo announces their new console Microsoft and/or Sony will make plans to cut the cost of their systems to compete with the looming threat. If you can hold out just a bit longer you can get the console of your choice for a reduced price.

i own both so i mean it is what it is......but i have some hardcore ps3 fanboys, to where sony is practically theyre religion. theyre damn near losing theyre minds because they can't play black ops online, like 4 of them said they was thinking about getting a used 360 since theyre dirt cheap for online....anybody else thinking of doing this also??

Execpt that the stablity is not night and day. Its about the same.

I own a 360 and a PS3, but I honestly wouldn't have even known about the outage without visiting game news sites. I haven't played online all year. Sometimes I'm surprised how online-focused the console world has become in just one generation.

i own both so im fine :P

but they have dust on them now since i play on my PC 95% of the time
