I'm just curious if this game is a system seller, at least for this board.

the game sure does look like a system seller. we will know when it hits shelves with all those bundles.
i own a ps3 and i don't plan on getting this at all, and until someone tells me how this could be fun for a while and doesn't include a response "because it's fun", then i will not even rethink the purchase of this game.ULTIMATEZWARRIO
Because cows can make Halo , Gears of Warsand other 360 IP levels and pretend they actually have true system selling games...
If I had $460 in pocket and didn't mind blowing it all on video games, i'd totally buy a PS3 for LBP.Senor_Kamiyou would ?
Anywayz im not really sure if gonna buy LBP,looks abit boring >.>
I already have a PS3 so I guess I don't really apply to this question. I can't say for sure how big LBP will be. Obviously the mascot Sackboy is taking off in popularity. That is a good thing.
I see this title having alot of long term potential. I don't think it'll sell like other big, hardcore titles where the exclusive console they are on and the titles sales itself swellup for about 3 weeks and then flatline. LBP seems like it converts people once they are exposed to it in person. If Sony can advertise this game properly and make it playable at any location that has a PS3 kiosk, we may see the start of a huge revolution.
If I did not own a ps3 then yes I would.
I had the beta and it showed me just how powerfull lbp is in the right hands, go on google and type in little big calculator, unfortunately for some reason i cant copy the link.
I played the level and used the jetpack to see how it worked. I personally did not understand it fully, it may not seem that brilliant to some of you, but for me it reallly showed me just how much you can do with this game.
The thinf with this game though is 99% of levels are going to be simple assault course type missions which will turn people of. But for the 1% of people who figure out how to really use the engine, well they will be the ones making the levels you see at the froint when you search levels online...
when I played the beta I did not even scratch the surface of the game, I will start of just making items and practising before i mjake whole levels.
I'm buying a PS3 for games like MGS4, Little Big Planet, inFAMOUS, and some other games.
So yes I'm getting one for LBP but it is a combination of other games.

dude, you seriously play the beta? Nothing is special about the jetpack, you just move with the joystick, you seriously must be mentally handicapped not to figure that one...
Also 99% of the levels are not simple assault course type missions... which seriously makes me to believe that you
a) either played 5 mins of the beta
b) Lying
Whatever though, you probably dont care what I think.. so it really doesnt matter

I never said the jetpack was amazing or anything... I meant in the calculator level you use the jeppack to fly around the calculator bit above the numbers, with all the pistons and magnetic switches. Its mind boggling. Either I wrote my last post wrong or you misunderstood it :P
And the next bit, they mostly are, I played a few. They may have their little bits but its mostly A to B stuff. But there are some very good levels, like that construction one, where you use the crane to lift the blocks, and you have that digger like vehicle, the good levels will be ones like trhat, with something else other than make it from here to here, thats what i meant.
Also I got the beta, I literally got the last batch from IGN. I made a level with a fast car then I made a level based on "Im a celebrity get me out of here."
My thrid paragraph is still about the calculator, not the jetpack. anyone who could not use that thing would be mentally handicapped :P
Did you play the calculator level or the construction one? both great imo. Though I did not like the wipeout one, it kept going wrong and you could not do anything about it :(
I did play the beta, it ended on saturday night for me.

I don't like shooters that much so stuff like LBP, Mirror's Edge and Prince of Persia appeal to me. Its looks pretty simple but I feel like it'll be hard to master but i'll have alot of fun trying to master it.
