People have been moaning and groaning about the Wii not being HD. Now the time is coming that HD is going to be a reality and I don't see much excitement. Is everyone giving up on Nintendo or what?

You already can if you got a strong enough PC. But let's not get into details so I don't get moderated :P
Resolution is not going to make the games better. Neither is visuals or super duper high quality lossless sound. Its the core design I'm interested in and frankly I don't see that being dependent on hardware so I don't care.

There's nothing wrong with better graphics. It won't make the core experience better but it can make the overall experience more satisfying.
most definitely looking forward to seeing mario in high def. not enough to buy a wii u (at least nowhere near launch), but i'm sure a friend or two will pick one up so i'll be able to see it first hand.
If HD is the reason you've been looking for to enjoy Nintendo games, you really should get your priorities straight as a gamer. :|

i don't see anybody saying that, we would just like to see these beloved series and characters who we grew up with in high definition. it doesn't really get much deeper than that...
I don't think it will affect the quality of Mario or Super Smash Brothers very much but I am very much looking forward to playing a Zelda in HD, and even more, F-Zero in HD (I know the franchise is essentially dead but hey, a guy can dream right?).

I will probably not buy a WiiU and not bother with Zelda anymore, seems they have gone downhill and i mainly bought Nintendo systems for Zelda since i dont care for mario or metroid at all
Wii was one of my worst systems, i only have 3 games on it, one of which is a Gamecube game really (Zelda TP) and the 7.5/10 Zelda SS

I never said there was. I said I don't care about it.
I'm more excited about the possibilities of the controller, new online environment, new, aswell as already existing IP's rather than thinking about "playing Nintendo franchises in HD." In fact, the latter didn't really cross my mind.
We should be excited about the new console as a whole, and how it will stand out, not about "OMG bettah gaffix, HD nomnomnom."
I've never been too concerned with graphics on a Nintendo product, usually because the art style is so good, but after using my Wii on my wide-screen HD-TV I can say that a clearer picture certainly wouldn''t hurt. As long as it doesn't effect the gameplay.

You say the Wii is one of your worst systems, yet you admit you only have three games for it? How about you get a decent library before judging a console, based on 3 games. Please Log In to post.
