Who's playing Splatoon 2?

@spike6958: it has a new campaign, new maps, new specials and a new salmon run mode.

Its a new game based on the fact that IP's like COD, Battlefield and Gears of War have been doing this for years and they are considered as new games.

Haven't tried SP or Salmon Run yet. Straight turf war so far trying to achieve better weapons. So much fun. Funny how I played the hell out of the first one- wife didn't seem interested at all. On night three of owning #2 I had logged out to go do a couple Legendary raids in Pokémon Go with some friends and while I was out the wife decided to play a few rounds as she has been watching me play, I came home she was a couple hours in and hooked! After a couple days of us trying to share Splatoon time she caved and we got her her own Switch and another copy of Splatoon2. Nintendo has managed to get my wife addicted to an online shooter. That says a lot :)

Nintendo, get your fucking shit together, what the f*ck is up with the random server crash?

Salmon Run is so much fun.

Zelda is a better game. Splatoon is so much more fun.

My fiancee was the same way. She plays Zelda and other single player driven Nintendo games but she's never been into a multiplayer oriented game like Splatoon. She sees me playing when I first got it last Friday and then she tried it when I took a break. Now I have a scheduled time I get to play the switch... haha I'm glad she likes it though. Hoping to get a second Switch eventually for her, especially with Pokemon and hopefully Animal Crossing coming in the years to come.

So far the one and only fault I have is how you can only have 1 perk (from the guy in the food cart) active at a time. Choosing another perk voids out the remaining games of the first perk.

Really, you don't think the modes being time gated is stupid?

This game is pretty close to the original, but for some reason I like it WAY more then the first.

Maybe it's Salmon run? Maybe it's the fact at Launch this game feels more complete then the first one?

I don't know, but I like it. Except for the gated modes and shitty online app.

It just looks and feels better in general, I think. Also, the new ink looks absolutely amazing and contributes to the enjoyment for me.
I love Salmon Run and the new specials sure feel more balanced this time around. The only really weak one so far is the Stingray.

Stupid is requiring the use of an app on a smart phone or tablet to communicate. Actually it is beyond stupid. The timed levels are an annoyance, sure, but nothing game breaking.

That is also remarkably ridiculous, but it's a system wide infrastructure issue, and not something I can necessarily hold against Splatoon itself.

Got mine 2 day ago and been in love with it. I never played the first one because I didn't have a Wii u, but now I understand the hype behind this game. The game is so much fun that it took me away from playing Zelda and Shovel KNight Series on the switch.

Who is all playing tonight around midnight EST? I plan on being intoxicated and ready for some Splatoon 2 action. I was pretty drunk last weekend when I played with folks here, so that's pretty much what you can expect. I don't act all crazy or anything...

The campaign gets ridiculously hard on the 5th stage. Level 26 is driving me crazy.

That's the one with the bowling balls, right? For me, the Octo-Shower boss was a pain! especially with the weapons I was trying to unlock for Sheldon's shop (The Hero Slosher, Hero Blaster and the Hero Brella).

This may be a better shooter than Overwatch.

Just got to to rank A- in rainmaker, feeling good. Started out as my least favorite mode but now I think it's my favorite.

I kind of hate how we have to use Sea Snails this time around to add slots to our gear, instead of just using a ton of money.
Splatfest can't come fast enough...

My favorite moment was when I was laying down some ink in a corner and then Char (opposing team) comes rolling over and traps me in. POP goes his bubble and I'm dead. It was like something out of a very colorful horror movie.

I am and I'm loving it. Haven tried single player or Solomon's run, but I will tonight.

Salmon Run is a real treat. I have played more Salmon Run than Singleplayer or Regular Battles.

I've only done the tutorial in Salmon Run (which I thought was fun). I'll have to take a break from Ranked Matches and give it a real go later!

It's a pretty awesome addition to Splatoon. Been playing it a lot with friends. It's a great way to get some coin as well.
