Its costs more. So you know you're getting a better deal in terms of quality.
Besides who needs 500GBs of space to play games, movies, music and hold pictures?
All that extra money goes to microsoft to ensure better accessories in the future.;)

Why the hell would I need to store picture, movies or anything not relevant to gaming on my system when my laptop and PC are not even 4 feet away?

Downloadable games and DLC for games, thats all i use my HDD for, and i just upgraded my 60 gig to a 260 gig for the price of a new game. downloadable games? installs?lolz of course not, I mean its not like there is anything to get from the PSN store or anything like that. I mean despite the fact that I have 59 PS3 games or demos on mine and 10 PSone titles. Not to mention all the game installs or DLC I've downloaded.
Its not like my 320GB drive is getting any use I've only used 108 GB. You know about 8.3 times as much as a 20GB HDD at the exact same price. you know prolly more than a 120GB can hold (actual useable space) @ half the cost. But you know its like like DLC or games or installs are important or anything.
Dude, I get made fun of for my patriotism, I favor 360 because it's an American company in a largely Japanese dominated market, but what you just posted was absolute blind fanboyism, imo. If it makes you happy, by all means. But I have a lot of stuff on my 120 gig hdd, and I wish I could get a 250 gig 3rd party for like 100 bucks for it.Its costs more. So you know you're getting a better deal in terms of quality.

PSN has this feature called View Downloads. Everything you have downloaded off the PSN store is there.
I'm not sure if 360 has that but I know you can either go on xbox.com, view purchase history and add it to your queue. Next time you put your 360 on, it'll download or you could just go to what you purchased and it'll say "you have already downloaded this, would you like to download it again?"
I have a 200GB hard drive in my PS3, I still have over 150GB on it.

Again, 360 doesn't have installs. Sorry you guys had to wait a year to play BioShock and still had to have 7GB of space to install it. LIKE OMG WTF BBQ THATS ALMOST HALF A 20GB HARD DRIVE!

I don't but I have a couple including NGS2 demo and Uncharted MP demo. Doesn't matter if a game installs, so what? at least I have enough space to allow for an install. GL with that if you have a 20 or even a 60. Bottom line my 320 trumps any HDD for any other system (PC excluded obviously)
I can install all the games that require one and still enough space for DLC, demos, and games.
because people have no choice but to pay that much. and they do, and MS gets tons of money from it.[QUOTE="FILIPINOMAZTER"]yeah, why the heck are 360 hdd's cost too much??? zarshack
I would actually like to see some sales figures on HDD sales because I don't think they're anywhere near as high as they would be if they were at a fair price. Microsoft is losing out on a lot of mony imo.

I have a 120GB and guess what? zomg bbq I have demos and a bunch of DL games on my hard drive still with over 75GB left! I also have COD4, Halo 3: ODST and GTA IV installed on there. Want me to download a bunch of movies and put a bunch of pictures on there and let you know how much I have?
Do you PS3 fanboys even try anymore? This is disgusting. Just go back to making 300 threads and 1,000,000 posts a day about how Uncharted 2 is going to win every award possible and how it makes Crysis look like an 8 bit game.

yeah and how much do those cost? Quite a bit if you didn't buy it with your console. And you may have 75GB left but I have 190 GB left I've used more space on my drive than you even have available. I like how me stating facts that the PS3 HDD system is FAR superior to any other (sans PC) makes me a fanboy. Lets just call people who bring up good points fanboys to try to discredit them instead of actually trying to argue the points at hand.

You know that the hard drive inside the 360 HDD case is your typical SATA laptop drive connected to proprietary wires/plug and formatted in a certain way right?

A 60GB still does the job. The 20GB is outdated, I'll give you that. However you've been wording your posts as if the 360 hard drives are incapable of providing someone with a gaming experience.

I'm not defending ludicrous prices.
Anti-Microsoft posters make it seem like you need a 400TB hard drive in your console in order to play games. It's completely unnecessary and overkill as most people will NEVER use that much space, especially on a 360. Hell, I know plenty of people who have bought map packs to numerous games, have a lot of downloadable games and still have over 10GBs of space. (that's with a 20GB)
By the way, there was no need for a comma after the defending. ;)

No your right a 60 does do the job, I had a 60 and it lasted me awhile but it eventually wasn't enough, and yes a 20GB one is extremely outdated for the amount of content available.
And it wasn't my intention to suggest that 360 owners don't get an awesome gaming experience because they do. Its simply as TC so cleverly pointed out that the way the 360s HDD are set up is stupid. They are completely overpriced and your stuck with 3 options. Which sucks really.
