Why are cows hyping motorstorm?

Please someone explain to me what is so great about this game

I look at vids and screens and all I see is motion blur and very poor textures (alright character and car models tho)

And also is there any real life vehicles in this game or is it just fake dune buggys that don't exist in real life.

Also replay value will be low due to the fact that all you do in this game is drive dune buggys and there is no offline multiplayer. Also even if some of the graphics are alright (except textures and backgrounds) The game isn't exactly a graphical powerhouse especially if you consider that there really is nothing in the backgrounds except blue skies and sand mountains so it doesn't exacly give you a big world to explore or much variety in the enviroments.

So please tell me why people have hope for this game when it will so obviously score about 7.8 to 8.2 mark my words....

I already went into detail about how unimpressive the graphics are

vf has more impressive graphics, but again that still doesnt impress me because fighting and racing games are the easiest games to make pretty graphics for and Perfect dark zero, kameo, gow all look much sharper and prettier than vf5 or motorstorm

ROFL at God of War 2 looking better than PDZ!!!! PDZ still has the highest resolution best looking textures in any game to date!!!!

The Cow pwnage will be massive once Motorstorm drops! I would not wanna be anywhere near a cow when this review drops. I know the poor PS3 owners have no games now or in the near future but to hype this dirt racer.....oh man it's gonna take forever for them to live this down. Khansoul

I don't own a PS3 don't care for it, but this game is averaging 85% in gamerankings, I know we only look at the gamespot scores but 85% is still a great score, great score means great game. and even if it does get a 7.8 or 8.2 like you say, its still a good score. now reading your post I can't tell if you actually played the demo or not, and if you didn't then this post was a waste of our time.

as for the Wii? Heh, i think most people buy it either for the price or because they like the controller (or their child likes the controller).

Lol, I had a 360 until my last one died and I can assure you that none of those games look as good as Motorstorm or VF5 on an HDTV.

If you like racing games then there will be tremendous replay value in Motorstorm. There are 12 different vehicle classes and each vehicle actually feels different during the races due to the terrain. If you've played the demo than you already know that with just two vechicles it was enough to keep you coming back for more.... so yes, Motorstorm is a game that offers awesome graphics with a racing experience far better than any we've yet to encounter.

If you're not a fan of racing games then of course there is nothing to get excited about with this game. But the demo has already proven to be one of the best racing experiences to ever hit consoles... that is why it is hyped.

This game was hyped for so long by cows its funny to see them back tracking so fast now or just being quiet (not saying the ones in here were the ones hyping it, but there were some very vocal (and may I point out, the less rational) cows who are now very very silent on the matter).

Uh, well it's been hyped for a really long time so saying that "few" are praising it is kind of pointless at this point.

We need Casey to make a thread like he did for God of War 2 and Crackdown (hype thread) to find out the official verdict on the hype.
