Why are people excited about Mass Effect?

How many like 80 percent of their exclusives are shooters? And as soon as they're done with one they look forward to the next. I understand it's an rpg and lemmings try to classify it as a RPG instead of a shooter (why wouldnt they?) but that element makes the game worse, before you use a weapon (or even pull the trigger) you got to stop and select. And it's doing the whole sci fi, ripping off Halo's originality (thats right I said it.... ORIGINALITY).

As far as the past few months go, a lot of lemmings purchasing order went like this, bioshock, halo 3, orange box (like 5 friggin shooters in one purchase), call of duty 4 and now Mass Effect. Honestly, I lovea good shooter too, dont get me wrong, but hell I bought a console for more than just shooters. I know the 360 has more than just shooters but all a lemming talks about or hypes is their precious shooters.

You guys have fun with Mass Effect though, I hope you guys enjoy reading too, because thats what gaming is all about.... reading dialogue

a) Its an RPG, plain and simple. its a real time western RPG

b) Halo didnt invent science, it was around for a few years before halo

c) pausing is optional and is very similar to the ratchet and clank wheel

d) you dint read dialogue in mass effect, you watch it

Is it wrong to actually read? What is wrong with today's youth? I'm 22 and I love to read, whether it's in games or a really good book. No wonder the current generation of teenagers is plummeting down hill.

Just because its the majority of lemmings like Shooters doesn't mean it only has shooters...And 2008 just proves my point

Sure, I'm a fanboy. Why is it everytime I come on here 360 users talk about Halo, Gears of War, COD4, and Bioshock? Why is it never a topic of Kameo, Dead Rising, Viva Pinata, and Virtua Fighter?

How come all the topics made by PS3 fanboys are "OMG KILLZONE 2 WILL OWN! or "HALO IS OVERRATED UNCHARTED FOR THE WIN!"I see just as many ps3 fans repping their first person shooters if not more than 360 users. Atleast 360 users actually have credibility to their statements when they talk about how good a fps is because godknows just how good the FPSs on PS2 and PS3 have been. Its sad when youhave sony fanboys gettingexcited for Killzone 2when Killzone 1 sucked so bad that it was painful.Why do people even make topics like this.
