Do we like it , hell no. Its as annoying as any other extra fee ... But Sonys reason is way different than MS and thats a fact.

MS did it because they're a business and it cost them millions a year to maintain, store, update and house these LIVE servers. Sony couldn't charge for that crap online service and they knew it not because of their kind hearts.

I couldn't care less about multiplayer but I'll have PSN+ because it's a nice service and I've enjoyed it thus far.

Its a fair price to pay for what they did for us, they could have EASILY just followed suit and they wouldnt have been the bad guys cause M$ was also doing it, but they didnt, they stood up to DRM and M$ trying to destroy console gaming. 

Plus its PS+, one of the greatest services gaming has ever seen, its not exactly the same as paying to play online, you get amazing content and games for the price.

The growing concensus on a lot of Playstation forums is that after MS had revealed their DRM scheme, the Sony fans didn't mind coughing up a bit of coin if it meant getting everything else that came with the PS4 (better hardware, no restrictions, Gaikai, free downloadable games and discounts).

After MS reversed their DRM policies, it was a little too late.  The Sony people had already accepted the fee as a necessary evil. ..and it's not like you're going to save any money by jumping ship to the XBox.  So, the bottom line is, if you are a core gamer, you've pretty much already had to make the decision on whether you were going to get PS+ or not and the decision is made.

The Playstation fans that are miffed about the online fee have simply stated they will wait for a price drop to go to PS4, and that the PS3s game library is still growing while the Xbox 360 is next to non-existant for exclusives.
