Why are people still trying to defend the PS3?

About what exactly?  Jack and Squat?  What in terms of exclusive games that I can't play on my 360 does the PS3 bring to the table?  Resistance and VF5?  No AAAs?  Come on now..don't go there.

You have games like Resistance Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Call of Duty 3, Def Jam Icon, Need for Speed Carbon, Formula One Championship and Virtua Fighter 5. Sure they are not all exclusives, but that shouldn't be a big deal. They are good games and that's really all that should matter.

Untold Legends, Ridge Racer 7, Mortal Kombat II, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Oblivion, NHL 2k7, Fight Night Round 3, Call of Duty 3 are some other good games as well.

Yeah, I was just about to say that.

Some people may not have the 360 and may want to try it. People shouldn't only be forced to play exclusives. I have played both versions of the game and I'd have to say the 360 one is better (much better framerate and better hit consistency), it's still a great game and if you've missed it you should give the ps3 version a try. Just because it's been released on another system doesn't make it completely obsolete.

If you have both systems I'd say to go with the 360 verison though.

That's all nice and fluffy, but that's not the real world.  The only differentiating factor between the PS3 and 360 right now are games.  If I can enjoy every single good game available for the PS3 on my 360, why on God's green Earth would I buy a PS3?  Answer:  I wouldn't.

Real answer, you can't. 360 doesn't have Resistance and Motorstorm.

Course the 360 makes up for that with games like Gears of War, Lost Planet, Viva Pinata, and a good deal of others.

Right now it's not a fair fight at all between the two, common sense to see that the 360 is clearly the better choice. Much bigger library and it's a very impressive powerful machine.

In a year, or more, the PS3 should give the 360 a better fight. But right now it's a landside in the 360's favor. But that's to be expected when one of the systems hasn't even been out for a year, and the other has been out for nearly two.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm finding Sony fanboys are slowly getting more and more quiet on the subject of PS3. There's less and less of them pouncing on the 'potential' ownage of the PS3, since they claimed so much ownage on sales on the PS2. It seems like the only argument Sony has going for it is that it's future proof and that 2008 may be PS3's year................if it hasn't been scarred for life from lack of public interest this year.

I'd like you to explain why defending the PS3 makes you a fanboy.

It seems that for some ppl around here saying something good about it makes you a biased fanboy.

This is the only reason why gamespot forums exist. Posters have two choices: love 360 and call those who don't fanboys, or hate PS3 for no good reason.

The PS2 had the same start the PS3 is having, back then it's greatest threat was the dreamcast(which it erased), now it's the 360, to me it seems the PS3 is of to a good start. The Wii is beyond system wars, it's an icon which has no competition.

they reason why they only put out 6 ps3's on the shelve is because they have  about 10000 in the back that arent selling so they only put a few out to make it look like it is so they can move the product

it didn't deliver on the games side.

it didn't deliver on the sales predictions.

it didn't deliver on the worlwide launch.

it didn't live up to xbox live.

it costs hundreds more than other consoles.

the games don't live up to the pre-release video footage.

The real question is why people still feel the need to attack Sony and the PS3 for every action or word they say.  People defend the PS3 because they either like it or think the attacks are unfair.  What logical reason is there for anyone to attack the PS3 so vigorously and obsessively?

This thread isn't about asking people why they defend PS3. This thread is about bashing Sony. Even if someone comes along with a good reason why they're "defending" PS3, this thread will still be about why that person SHOULDN'T defend it anyway. The better question is "Why are people who don't have PS3s bashing it?" It's not hurting Xbox or Wii owners. If anyone's a fanboy, it's not the person who defends the PS3. It's the person who loves his 360 and uses that as a reason to hate Sony. I'm done with this thread.shady_825
