Why are sales important to you?

well, why? i hear all these trivial discussions about sales, i doubt more than 1% of you on this forum are affected by it. this should not be the basis on which someone is owned. the games should be, i am a ps3 fanboy but i gotta admit that 360 has a better lineup at the present, that will change with time. Wii owners well i feel sorry that the only decent games you get are from ninty only. these debates about ownage over sales is stupid, you dont get a goalsharing check from either of these companies.

Hexagon_777 and sleepingzzz have articulated it better than I ever could. The OP seems to thing that all we have to gain from a system's success is some kind of personal satisfaction.

Last I checked third parties aren't charities. They care about things like lower development costs, install bases and software sales. Again look at the 360, DS or even the PS2

For first parties sales = profits = sucess = more money to spend on whatever they want. If you honestly don't believe that the PS2, 360 or DS didn't benefit directly from their success then I can't help you

I honestly could care less about any of it. When one quits another will enter. All I care about is I get a good reliable console and nice games to play on it.
