Why are Sony Exclusives not called out on for being boring/ not original?

It thought KZ2's campaing was boring as heck but gave it a 8.5 anyway, not every game needs to be all things, if the online is great then a bad singleplayer/splitscreen shouldn't really detract from it. Also, KZ2 feels pretty different from most shooters so I wouldn't call it completely unoriginal, can't speak for KZ3 though.

i recommend you research the word "opinion" very thoroughly. For example "i think/in my opinion" halo and cod is boring and very much unoriginal.

All shooters are corridor shooters with 5 hour long single player campaigns & only 3 modes? I was going to agree that they are all linear in a sense, but what about games like Borderlands & Crysis? I haven't played the latter myself except for an hour or so long demonstration from a friend, but I thought you could go about missions in a variety of ways.

And I can't speak for all Shooters, but Reach has more than 3 modes.

I call them out every day I dont own a ps3. I honestly dont hate the ps3, why would I, its a product, but there really isnt a franchise that they have that I feel as though I need a ps3 for.

How can a game like Killzone 3 get an 8.5 when TONS of people flat out say the campaign is boring (which killzone 2's put everyone I know to sleep) and the worst part is People consider Killzone 3's graphics to be 10000x better than anything on the 360. Now killzone 3 is the best looking console game I would say BUT GUESS WHAT? its a 1 player linear, corridor shooter with a 5 hour singleplayer and 3 modes online... Guess what happens when Killzone 3 tries to do OFFLINE 2 player co op? Its buggy and **** as hell, with framerate drops everywhere. Now people alawys mentino how halo reach's graphics suck comapred to killzone 3 Halo reach has 4 player online+offline campaign mode, it has up to 16 players on forge mode at once, theatre mode, etc and why isnt the amazing halo reach engine talked about more? If killzone 3 cant even have 2 player OFFLINE co op like ***** halo 1 did in 2001 how on earth are people impressed? Honestly why would anyone play killzone 3 instead of black ops? The story is universally accepted to suck how is that "Alright"? How can a game get an 8.5 when the singleplayer is so flawed? The story doesnt just suck it actually takes away from the singleplayer ive seen multple reviews mention. but i do agree with you about halo. halo had features 10 years ago that killzone 3 lacks. makes no sense to me and thats why i am debating on whether or not to buy it. if they have split screen online i would buy it first day. sony confuses me >>they push social gaming with the move but continuously leave out social aspects of games like split screen.

and for comparing this game to wack ops. pleaaaseee the beta for KZ3 is much more fun than black ops ever was

who knows...i've noticed it to. cows and ps3 games seem to get a free pass here for some reason. they're the most babied group out of the 4...n yet they still find reasons to whine and pout. Halo Reach had a ton more to it than Killzone 3...i thought an 8.5 was generous. to come here and see cows whining and calling gamespot biased against Sony disgusted me lol. what more do they want??

Well IDK about KZ3's single player yet, but I am playing through KZ2's right now and I am really enjoying it.

Yeah, the story is not the strongest but I enjoy the challenge that I am getting from it. It is NOT a walk in the park as every COD game is.

If you don't like KZ3, which I have no idea how since you have not played it yet, then write a USER REVIEW and let your opinion be heard.

There is so much wrong with your post I'm not even sure where to begin.

First off, your thread title implies that ALL sony exclusives are boring an unoriginal. This is opinion at best, at false at worst. And your supposed support for your percieved favoritism of Sony games is nothing more than your own opinion that Killzone 3 is bad? If Killzone 3 was so terrible then why is it getting consistenly good scores from gaming critics?

I have Killzone 2 but won't get Killzone 3 because I'm not a huge fan of FPS's. But Killzone 2 was hardly boring. There was something big and explody and cool happening throughout that entire game. It never once slowed down. If the game had a major flaw it was the fact that there was literaly no story. You start the game being told you are invading the planet to get the general, or whatever, and that is literally the whole game. So no story, but hardly boring action.

And finally, this is the System Wars forum. Every single game ever released gets bashed by somebody for some ridiculous reason. Games that don't score 10s here are called flops. And yet IF a game does score a 10 people bash it even more. Sales don't matter unless they help your cause, and graphics don't matter unless you have the best. Exlcusives for the other consoles suck until they are ported over and suddenly they are the best games ever, etc, etc, etc.

But still, it all just boils down to you hate Killzone and decided to make an extremely whiny, fanboy thread about it without any real evidence backing your opinion. And opinions without facts are called biases.

btw TC, Killzone 3 is a great game and you know it, Halo is average at best, CoD? dont even get me started, Its the buggiest pile of slag I've ever played..

and BTW!! how many games have you played like killzone and infamous story/setting/graphic/design wise? sure the mechanics are the same but so is CoD! and might I add that KZ3 Goes beyond the realms of these Usual shooters like CoD..
