I totally agree. You'd think that the developer who made last gen's best console graphics could do better than that. Been resting too much on their laurels, if you ask me.NWA_31
I agree the graphics could have been better and I expected more from Team Ninja this gen, but Xbox 1 level graphics in HD? No.
They aren't that bad, but they're not good. To that kid above, NG2 does not look better than MGS4. MGS4 is actually one of the best looking games.DroopehWith those horrrible textures, i think not.

Correct. MGS4 does look great.

sorry but no, mgs4 may be one of the best upcoming games, but hell its not one of the best looking. i guess they both look so average it just a matter or opinion.
wait.... how did we go from talking about NG2 to MGS4? Silly fanboys, get your heads out. This wasn't a comparrison thread. the OP even said "this isn't a knock on the 360", so why does someone always have to take it personally, and try to "counter attack"?0rin

exactly what i think, this is pretty sad especially when DMC4 managed to look so goodmingo123
are you kidding? NG2 looks better than DMC4.
And it runs at 60FPS...something essential for NG2. Graphcis still look great, you're just talking out of your ass.

Agreed. Outside of the cutscenes, DMC4 looked meh. NG2 looks better.

The game looked static and dead when I played it. Such an ugly game.
glorious. but that was probably the worst pic of NGB you could find. lol.Fail!
Now for Xbox 1:
People really forget last generation.

Well, I'm going to have to disagree. DMC4 is a fantastic looking game. Not a chance. Let's see gameplay...

This is not a bust on 360, I have a 360 and love it. The graphics in most games are really good. But Ninja Gaiden 2 looks like Ninja Gaiden 1. The graphics look flat, it looks like NG1 bumped up in HD.digitalman42You cleary didn't see the game in motion.

As much as I'm anticipating NG2, DMC4 clearly looks better. Care to explain? NG2 has way more going on screen and the action is much faster. Heck the gif in my sig alone looks better than anything I've ever seen in DMC4.http://www.gamespy.com/video/av.html?dlURL=xbox360movies.ign.com/xbox360/video/article/869/869329/ninjagaiden2_castle_042408_flvhighwide.flv&object_ID=686645
Graphics look amazing the action is fast and the framerate is smooth. Don't know what you guys are talking about..

NG2 may not be the technical marvel it's predecessor was when it was released, but I'm still expecting a great hardcore action game with a buttery-smooth framerate. We really have no idea what's in store until we play the game in person though, do we?

It's not a massive improvement over the original, like Halo 2 to Halo 3.
Then again, the original Ninja Gaiden was a technical marvel.

I don't know, I think both NG2 and MGS4 are pretty underwhelming visually.
And that's pretty odd considering that these franchises set the bar for visuals last gen.

I agree, Most Japanese developers have fallen behind when it comes to techincal visuals compared to many of the western ones, it's pretty much only Capcom that's still in the race.
Had to chime in. A couple of people in this thread were praising DMC4 graphics. Did you forget about the godawful flickering shadows? How about the fact that there are TONS of invisible walls making for very small gameplay areas. NG2 will be more open than DMC4. Sure, it will still be linear, but the environments you can explore will surely be bigger. DMC4 had small gameplay environments with a ridiculous amount of invisible walls. AvIdGaMeR444
