I keep seeing PS3 and 360 games on offer for about half what Wii games go for...I don't really get it, does anyone have any idea why Wii games go down in price so much more slowly?
edit: referring to AA-AAA games.

Nintendo games take forever to drop in price because they sell well. All the other 3rd party games have most likely fallen in price. You can find Zack and Wiki for like $15.
Well Wii games are generlly cheaper. however they don't drop in price as much as PS3 and Xbox 360 games because there is more demand for Wii games and when demand for something is high the price always stays higher.
Wii games have better qualityDjCristii
Quality... haha that was funny
It is kinda insane how a game like Madworld is more expensive than a game like Resident evil 5. Why is new Wii games more expensive than 360/ps3 games when they are so much more simple, low standard and lower production cost.
Nintendo where is the cheaper games??

Funny how new Wii games are $50 and PS3/360 games are $60.
360 games tend to drop in price pretty fast, so I can understand that. But just looking on Amazon for cheap PS3 titles is hard! @_@
Also, you have to look for cheap Wii games, it's not that hard:

Well first Madworld is only $39.99 well RE5 is $65.99. Second the engine for Madworld was built from the ground up for the game. No other game has tried to use black and white like that before.ok im lost, is he trying to claim ps3 and 360 games are cheaper then wii games, when they are not
first of all , when the 360 and ps3 versions are release except very fewtitles,
they cost 60 dollars,
when the wii version of these games or wii games are release the prices vary among third party from 20-49.99
then most nintendos are 49.99 , ,
the only ones that cost a little more is wii fit, or the guiter hero /rock b and and the animal crosing mic bundle cost just 10 more
so no , the majority of launched 360 ps3 titles, are 10 dollars more then the wii ones, period get over it,
sure you can wait but, chances are youll miss,
and there is quality wii titles if you know what you are looking for,
get real , super paper mario zelda tp metroid prime 3 bully se , medal of honor heroes 2 quantum of solace cod 5 , guitar hero rock band deblob
mad world man hunt 2 and so much more ,
sure some of the multiplats look better on ps3 360 but , you want a wii game , so be it,
theres a hunk full of wii games that have quality you just got to accept the fact , wii cant match ps3 360 in graphics,
dead rising is another example, still a quality game despite less graphical appearance,
that by the way is only 39,99 or 3499 if you find it used,
and wii games do drop in price, nintendos take longer , because they sell alot more then the third party titles,
there is a few nintendo games now that are wiimakes, but they are 30 dollars,
so ya, plus vc offers cheaper games then ps3 360s arcade counter parts, aside from the community game section lol

True and Wii games start at a lower price anyways. Most of their games are $49.99 starting price. Most of their 3rd party titles do drop in price within a few months. It's the Nintendo developed games that do not drop in price quickly. It's basically because they sell very well for several years without any price drop. Just look at SSBB, Mario Galaxy, etc...Those games are still selling very well.Your writing style is certainly unusual! I was referring to software price drops, anyway. To the rest of you, thanks for the replies, it's good to see some different perspectives. I can only assume that it's first party quality (and thus demand) that keeps Nintendo's prices high.ok im lost, is he trying to claim ps3 and 360 games are cheaper then wii games, when they are not

Nintendo likes to milk their customers, they just do it in a more clever way than Sony or Microsoft. Hell, by the end of the Gamecube run, Super Smash Bros. Melee was still going for $30 and never became a players choice.

DS lite, Mario Kart and Zelda TP (for wii) all went 10$ up in price. I know people are ready to pay no matter what price to get a hand on a wii fit or mario kart... the demand is so huge that Nintendo rises their prices and the consumers don't even care about it and they know it was cheaper a few months ago... they just want one...Don't even bother with a price drop for a Nintendo made console game... I was wondering why that post look very familiar. I saw that same post like two times today.
Nintendo's first party games are always expensive, even after a price drop. Nintendo likes to milk there consumers like this. It is the same with the Gamecube. The Gamecube version of Mario kart is still $30. And look at Super Mario Galaxy. This game is out near launch and it is still $50 brand new in Gamestop. lol360 games tend to drop in price pretty fast, so I can understand that. But just looking on Amazon for cheap PS3 titles is hard! @_@
Also, you have to look for cheap Wii games, it's not that hard:
kansasdude2009

- WarioLand Shake It: 34.79

- No More Heroes: 16.99
- Resident Evil 4: 10.00 with code
- deBlob: 36.99
- Zack and Wiki: 15.90
- MadWorld was 40 dollars on Amazon if you pre-ordered it.

Hmm, maybe eventually then, but I remember picking it up in 06 and it still wasn't players choice. Either that or they hadn't dropped the price to $20. :P
