Why arent Nintendo and MS at Gamescon?

Nintendo almost never shows up to Gamescon (at least not to my knowledge).

That be like asking why Robert Downey Jr. didn't show up to my movie theatre when they were showing Iron Man 2.

Microsoft and Nintendo are too cool for Gamescon. When Kaz sees Bill Gates or Sheguru Miaymoto, he'll s*** himself.

It's hard to compete with Sony's amazing PS3 line up, that's why they didn't show. They have no ammo, they have nothing to brag about or show off.

Their's only a 5% chance of the PS3 outselling the 360 in worldwide sales in the next couple of years.

With Nintendo having a new system coming out you think they would. I know they have their own events but surely they want more and more press for the WiiU, especially after so much confusion it has caused. And MS not attending also doesn't make sense, like in Japan the 360 is under-performing in Euro in every country except UK. It seems if you are English speaking the 360 is great and if not there are so many things lacking. MS needs to convince EU that they care but it seems they are content with NA sales which is a shame.
