We don't buy games? That's news to me. Just because a game doesn't sell like Halo 3 doesn't mean it doesn't sell well :|. Halo is an anomaly with a large following to the point of blind fanaticism. There is no such game on the PS3.
I know i buy games, and most of the PS3 owners on this site buy them too, but we are GAMERS, and at lauch, the PS3 was only 600, while stand alone players were almost 1,000. So many people bought it as a bluray player, and probably have no intention on playing games. Even if only 3-4 million people did that, its still a big percentage of people considering the install base is only 21m. i personally know 4 people that just wanted a bluray player, including a buddy of mine who retired from the navy, he is 47 years old, and doesnt play games, yet he bought a PS3 for that reason. And besides, dont most PS3 owners own gaming PCs?? :lol: Maybe they are busy playing pirated PC games :P
were on a video game forum so youre not going to see people saying they dont buy games. in the real world the ps3 is divided up into two userbase and thats gamers and blu ray watchers. thats what sony advertise the ps3 to be. one will do more than the other

Though I don't doubt people have been buying the PS3 for use as a blu-ray player, so I bet there's a hefty chunk of owners that don't actually buy games.
Exactly. I know two friends that have MGS4(one still hasn't finished it), and 2 other games. They both admit to reallyjust having bought it for a $400 blu ray player at a time when most were upwards of $500.
