Why buy a Pro/Scorpio with the beastly Nintendo NX on the horizon?

With the Nintendo NX and the Mini NES around the corner its time to just save your money and wait for these beasts to arrive.

Why not skip the scoprio/pro/pc just get the NX. Get the games and you live your happy gaming life in harmony.

As gamers we don't need anything else in our house except one system. This one would deliver every game you would want so why even have anything else in your house at that point. Think about it Zelda Maker how many days of your life could you play it thats the only game I would need all year basically just playing fan made dungeons I don't need anything else I don't need xbox i don't need PC i don't need crap from Sony.

I don't care about Pokemon, Mario, Zelda. Metroid is never being made for the console. A proper Monster Hunter game is never made for the console. Nintendo offers nothing of my liking. Not to mention that i'd be missing on quality exclusives and all 3rd party if i didn't own a pc.

The NX will be multiple devices. Ignore the damned Eurogamer rumors. The reveal will make things clearer.

That's nice but take it with a grain of salt. I'm also currently enjoying my time in No Man's Sky. I'm told I'm the only one in the world who likes it.

anyhow, if Nintendo's inability to support their first party on the Wii U with anything substantial isn't going to bode well for its biggest cheerleaders, hopefully third party support from Japanese devs will make up for it, if they haven't abandoned traditional handhelds for mobile gaming, we'll see there

I somewhat agree with you. The midgen upgrades aren't worth it to me for a bump in framerate and graphics. I'd rather spend the money somewhere I can experience new games.

Xbox One S and Launch PS4 are the way to go

However your hopes for NX are over the moon.

Even though I already own an NES, I'd love to also own a NES Classic Mini. The NX not so much.

Man, the Pro and the Scorpio going to be expensive in Canada. Shoot, I'd probably rather buy the NX(Reveal it Nintendo!) or the PS4 Slim.

I stay with my curent ps4 dont have plans buy pS4 pro or NX i waiting for more news of scorpio next year

I do intend on waiting to learn more about the NX before getting excited about any other system. If they shock us all and give us a traditional console or something that can function as a ps4 power level system I would be totally happy to go in that direction first.

Because while I love nintendo they can't cater to my every gaming need. I love a multitude of genres that nintendo does not make or just dabbles in a light family friendly manner.I realized that recently when I bought RE Revelations. I find myself wanting to pick up games like Dragon Age and eventually Witcher 3. These are games nintendo hardware can't handle because they can't afford the hardware as a gaming only company

The fact is NX is your traditional handheld and not that of your traditional console. Will be considerable underpowered like all handhelds were before it VS consoles , will use cartrdidges and will be portable. The fact that somehow will be able to plugged on a TV doesnt make it a console by any means.
