The guy talks about exploration but in an FPS really, is there any point to exporing if theres nothing intresting there to explore? Other than adding different sniping positions it all just seems really pointless adding exploring in an FPS.

Then he talks about barrel physics and not being able to shoot the TV glass, big deal, lots of FPSs don't have too many pyhsics, these things are very minor, things you generally wouldn't give a damn about in an FPS, it only adds that slight bit to the immersion.

The only thing that seemed remotely intresting is the fact you could go inside one of the small buildings an the enemies would blow it to shreads an the ingame weapon custimization(which again is nothing special). Everything else has been done before.

ok I get it all you wana do in a fps is kill people, then why not just play doom or quakeor halo or fear1000x?

Let me get this straight..... U want us to go play three of the best FPS games of all time, OK

Opening doors and jumping fences makes games so much better :lol:Heil68

Why do that when you can just go ahead and blow them up. Taking out the whole house > just a door.

he made an excellent argument, and made CoD4 look like an early era PS2 game.

In Battlefield Bad Company you can do that. It's going to have more destruction then Crysis does. :D

not that much of an accomplishment when they are just replacing one model with another... There aren't any physics being added to the destruction... Just a pre-rendered destroyed wall getting swapped with the undestroyed wall with the cover of a dust cloud to mask it. It isn't dynamic at all. That is hardly an accomplishment to be quite honest.

FACT, and the SP is 10X more intense...

No I disagree.. For one the AI is downright retarded in CoD4.. People keep crying about Crysis with some of the AI problems in the game.. But they don't even mention COD4's AI.. AI which will stand out in the open with all their team mates getting picked off by the dozens.. The only fix for this? By throwing an obscene amount of guys on a overly linear level.. Hell it wouldn't be that linear except the fact there are TONS of rediculous artificial borders.. Are you kdding me a cattle fence blocking off my choice of path? At least in some really linear shooters like HL2 or Doom 3 they gave you pretty realistic boundaries which would make sense from you not getting by them.. But a freaking picket fence?..

It gets worse whenapparenlty you have no power in openign doors and you must wait for other teams to do it for you. The worse thingof all? The AI half the time targets specifically you, even when your behind cover andyour team mates were not..

For instance after the small helicopter ride I go to rescue the squad that lit up the green smoke.. I rendavous with them and we jump down where there is a huge semi container of sorts.. Now I hid behind this, and I constatly get hit through this where I do my damnedest to kill guys and stay protected.. I died constantly.. Just from the sheer amount of fire power..

This was when my 4th time through I looked behind me.. Half of my team mates arn't even in cover and they were hardly taking ANY FIRE.. It looked like every guy with a machine gun, rpg or grenade, wanted to specifically kill me...

Now I don't mind linear shooters, but COD4 imo just takes it too far most thetime.. I liked FEAR alot for instance..Multiplayer is alright it does seeminteresting, but as a pc gamer can we truly say this is better then Team Fortress 2, counter strike source, Day of Defeat source, the battlefield games, Unreal Tournamnets including the newest one etc etc? I think not.

Also Physics are a huge part in Crysis, where cover isn't really there half the time.. Due to that enough fire power will blow anything through or make it fly away.. Ont he other hand it seems that a barrel in CoD4 are industructable and the US/UK forces must have stratgically strung them across the broken down cities for their soldiers apparently.
