Why do 360 owners buy so many games??

every month the software sales say that 360 games outsell wii games and ps3 games combined.

now there are about 15.5 mil wiis, 6.7 mil ps3s, and 14.2 mil 360s.

thats roughly a difference of 7 million between PSthrii and 360, so how is this even possible? and does it affect game development?

There are a lot of good quality titles thats why.

Well, 360 owners can't help it if there's TONS OF GAMES to buy!

Can't say the same about the PS3... and Wii games are just Gamecube games with a nunchuk

I think the crowd 360 attracts are "hardcore". Those who love to play games like a job. I can buy a Warhawk game and it will last me for 2 months, whereas a 360 owner must have Bioshock, Halo 3, and COD4 within 2 months. That's a good thing to hear if you are a developer.King_of_Sorrow

360 has more games that appeals to me. i also tend to buy the 360 version of multi-plat games just to stick it to the cows :P.

I like good games. Actually, correction: I like great games with a LONG single player, lots of replayability, and/or multiplayer. I own four XBOX 360 Games: Oblivion, Mass Effect, Halo 3, and Gears of War.

It just so happens that all of the best games are violent.

Yep, but i could also add in Bioshock, Gears of War, Kameo, Forza 2, DOA4, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Ghost Recon AW, etc, etc...and you get the picture,

Alot more good 360 games out and they all are about 8 hours long.

Even though alot of their stellar games are on PS3 also.

We buy so many games cause we can't afford PS3's ;)
