Why do 360 owners want MGS4 so much?

If you're going by aggregate websites, there's several credible websites that gave it a perfect score, NOT JUST GS.

Even if you're going by gamerankings, anyone in that top 100 list is considered some of the "highest ranked" of all time, with a small percentage gap between them. MGS4 is the highest ranked PS3 exclusive on gamerankings.

Going in sequence, there's a small percentage gap between them, maybe I should have made that clear. Considering not every game gets the same amount of reviews, makes it even harder to judge.

Because I've played Metal Gear Solid since PS1 release through PS2 but like others decided to buy a 360 this gen. I'm not going to buy a PS3 for one game.Burnsmiesta

This is still rumor by the way. Konami has not made any press releases, and Kojima has stated numerous times that this game would not be able to be translated over to 360, because of the amount of space needed it only works on blueray dvd. Not sure if this is true or not, but what he has stated in the past. Either way, this is a great game and the more people that experience it, the better. Guess we'll see in the days to come what is true and what isn't.

Cows need to understand one thing...most lemmings could care less. 360 owners have plenty of quality titles to play. Now, why are there so many mentions of MGS4 possibly coming to 360? Simple...lemmings want cows to lose another exclusive, specifically this one. The reason for this is because cows think that never in a million years will MGS4 come to 360. This when DMC4, GTA IV, and eventually Tekken 6 and FF13. Cows seem to think it is actually a jealously thing with lemmings. It definitely isn't. Lemmings just want MGS4 to come to 360 so cows can cry that they lost another exclusive. It would also be huge ownage since cows are soooooo confident that Kojima will never let MGS4 come to 360.

The reason MGS omits some stealth if only for fun. MGS is a mixture of fun and stealth according to Kojima.

Splinter Cell goes to great legths to create stealth, even if it makes the gameplay dull after awhile.

Heck. the SC series, is the same thing over and over, with hardly any innovation's per sequel (save for the fantastic multiplayer added and removed)

I know what you meant. And again I am stating that MGS is not in the same league as Splinter Cell. In my opinion it is better. It's a story that has spanned for over 20 years, across NES and PS. The first Xbox port was horrible, so not coutning that one. Also MGS not only invented the stealth genre, but improved on it. MGS has several ways to be played out. You can blast your way through it, or sneak throught it, combination of both, be awarded with easter eggs for nonlethal battles, and epic boss battles, etc.

Splinter Cell is a good series too, but pales in comparison to MGS series. And the gameplay hasn't seemed to change between the next chapters. MGS offers awesome camoflauge suits and other cool gizmos. Not knocking the SC series, but in my opinion MGS has not only invented the stealth genre, but has expanded on it, which makes it much better than your ordinary bland stealth games.

But makes sense, there are pretty much no more 3rd party exclusives, except the ones you heavily pay for like ms is doing. Games are becoming more expensive to make, and in order to cover costs and make a larger profit, it makes sense to give it all across the board. I think this gen will truly come down to 1st party publishers and what they do. But this is a great game and should be enjoyed by all.

Ive said it before, and ill say it again. Most 360 owners here on SW want MGS4 to come to the 360 mainly so that they can claim ownage over cows.

They want it for one of two reasons (or both):

1) Because it's an excellent game and they won't have to plunk down money on a PS3 to play it.

2) Because they are fanboys who want to see Sony suffer a blow in the console race.
