Why do americans like 360 so much?!

I like the 360 for the same reasons that I like the Wii and PS3. They have good games that I enjoy playing.

However, the NA market does usually lean heavily towards action games and sports games. Things the 360 provides in surplus.

Generalizations which hold a very large amount of truth if you check the numbers of some of the highest selling games in the NA region.

Not everyone has the same tastes of course but one does not equal many.

Europe chooses Quality whereas America chooses not to. j/k

Because its made by Microsoft...It tends to the American market, just like the Wii is very popular in Japan. Europe have nothing because we have no console made here, maybe because we suck, who knows?

This gen the 360 is the system to play Madden on (add Gears, Halo and GTA to that) and you have a casual happy system. That's why it sells good in NA.

I'm american and like the 360 but its probably my least favorite system out of the 3, it RRODs and requires expensive accesories, that you shouldn't need, and lacks a solid selection of certain genres of games, I personally unlike many Americans don't always want to go around shooting people constantly, don't get me wrong I love FPS games but the 360 has too many FPS's and ones that are too similar

And don't even get me started on Halo

Because it satisfies their tastes? FPS, WRPGs and Sport games, what's not to like?

Just like PS3 appeals to Europeans, Gran Turismo, Singstar.

Console + EA Sports games + Shooter Titles + Action/Adventure games + Fighting Simulations - Outrageous console price=$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and Grand Theft Auto were all on one console, then that console would kill everything on the market......

Well no one knows for sure, but I guess I can make assumptions based on stereotypes like everyone else.

USA likes 360 because MS is american, because it has lot of shooters and sport games like Madden. They are in awe by the the type of games it offers - the type of games that have been on PC for ages, but since they don't play on PC they wouldn't know it. They don't mind annual fees because they're used to spending in entertainment, they don't mind the milking in the form of acessories because they aren't critical of big corporations, making money at the expense of the end user is considered a virtue, they don't mind unrealiable reputation either because they can't really plan ahead more than 3 years anyway.

Japan likes Wii because it's japanese, quirky, small, cute and different with lot of their favourite rehashes, minimum amount of violence and colorfull mini-games which can be played in small portions and are easy to learn.

Europe is balanced between all platforms because it consists of so many different countries with different tastes, culture and traditions. Spain likes PS3, UK likes 360 and so on ..it all balances out.

It's written in the constitution somewhere.

And Americans like guns, blood, death and war.... with a heavy metal soundtrack.
