Why do cows think the PS3 launch in EUrope will be an astounding success..?

Funny you say that. The Americans over here said the same thing and well....the PS3 wasnt as "embraced" as critics thought it would be.  :shock:

First off, its not released in a big shopping season.. March is not comparable with november and december.. People dont buy presents for their relatives or friends and that means there is little chance that casuals will drop 600 bucks Secondly, Sony did many things to scare playstation fans off.. There are many playstation fans appearantly.. But the current lineup is not appealing to the crowd.. The drop of the EE in the PS3 is making it a crippled BC system (I agree that this will get better by time).. also if there are millions and millions of playstation fans.. how did the PS3 only sell 700k in Japan when PS2 sold like 20 million..? Thirdly, In NA PS3 had Madden.. But PS3 in Europe has no FIfa or Proevo soccer.. farnham

the ps3 just doesn't have the excitement it needs to move a lot of consoles in EU...

many are migrating to the 360 and wii... with the money already spent, it leaves very little, if any, for the ps3...

I guess you can't really understand the hype for the machine over here unless you live here,more so in the UK.
Everyone i know wants a ps3 (god how many times have i said this in GS forums lol) even inclusing my dad!And the bigegst reason is for the blu-ray player,ps3 is going to hit Europe hard and will over take both the 360+wii combined imo,at least over here in the UK,you can just look at the  pre-orders already,there the highest ever.

There's no saving us RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!

In Europe the pre-orders aren't even full yet. I walked into GAME yesterday and everywhere there were "PS3: PRE-ORDER NOW" signs. The man even asked me at the counter when I was buying Sonic.

The ps3 lineup sucked for Japan and it still sucks , but it is flippin awesome for Europeans so don't kid yourself sheep. It is by far the best launch of any system in any territory.

Europe is setting records for the number or preoders for the system. And europe bought 40/110 mill of the ps2 sold worldwide. They are a huge part of the market for sony. And they do have great games to get, right away they get resistance and motorstorm plus others

I think the lineup of games overall is really strong.Motorstorm and Resistance at launch is a fantastic start. Why do people even question this fact ? If the ps3 doesn't sell out right away in each country the word of mouth and positive news will help in the next week or so afterwards. So overall I think it will go well for a March launch with 1 million units available.

Here in norway most are pre ordered away. And the lines are long for the wait for more PS3's. I dont quiet understand why tho, Ive pre-ordered it, and waiting. But i dont have any reason to atm, becouse i have alot of catching up to do in the section where i have the PC games. I basicly only pre ordered it becouse it will be the new thing. Same reason i bought Windows Vista, same reason i bought X360, Wii, PSP, new technology is just fun to own... Any you got to use your money on something, cant use everything on alcohol. And there is no reason to save them. If you do you will just use more money on crap. Many of the people i know who has pre ordered the PS3, is becouse thay want the new tech like blu ray. Not just the games. People here(atelast where i live) dosent look to much on what will be availeble, simply becouse thay bearly know what that is, most of em a probebly just thinking: Its PlayStation, ofcourse there will be game(even if there are very few atm, but thay dont know that, fools :D) But real gamers, like my self arent really that exited over the PS3(simply becouse the lack of games) The common man and woman in the street is the once that are really looking forward to the PS3, becouse there lack of knowlege. Hopefully for them there will get what thay expect in a couple of month. This is the reaosn to go multiplat as a gamer. But im sure the PS3 will be a much better sucsses in europe then any other continet. becouse, as i said, lack of knowledge. Sorry if my english sucks atm, im tierd, and at work.

If the PS3 wasn't a smashing success anywhere else in the world, it certainly won't be in Europe.... especially if Japan is giving the PS3 the cold shoulder.

whoa whoa whoa, cool down cool down. Don't say anything you won't regret. Actually play the machine for once, instead of bringing your bias without reason. Shouldn't GS have a PS3 Bash Sticky? I'm sick of seeing this crud.
