You have heard consoles can't do 60fps so many times, you have accepted it as the truth. You've also heard so many times that PC gamers play at 60fps and that is actually baby stuff, they go all the way to 144fps, lol at consoles 30fps, right?
It's a lie because there is a double standard.
On the PC side when a videocard for example the 1070 averages 60 fps on a game, they put it on the big nice charts showing that it runs the game at 60 fps. They don't talk about all of the drops in the 50s and even 40s. Sometimes you get drops in the 30s or 20s depending on the game. These are small drops and the game still averages 60fps little is made of it.
On a console, the game has to be LOCKED AT 60fps WITHOUT DROPPING A SINGLE FAME! Even if it drops one frame, you hear about it. If it drops in the low 50s or maybe 40s then they say it's a joke an not really 60fps.
If you want to be consistent, then all of those charts showing videocards running games at 60fps must be ignored because they are not accurate if you go by the console standard.
