wow.. that's like asking why Shakespeare is better than Anne Rice.

One game has massive depth and terrific story with character customization and RP aspects and promises 100+ hours of play with all sidequests. the other is 6-10 hours long, no character customization, no depth that i can see and a flimsy indiane jones-ish story.

Sure Uncharted might look good, but it would be just another platform game like Tomb Raider, etc. While Mass Effect will be one of the most epic RPGs around. Besides Mass Effect gameplay value will outlast Uncharted guaranteed!

Except, of course, that Mass Effect is not being hyped for it's graphics. Yeah, they be pretty and they're part of the hype, but Mass Effect is being Hyped as a bioware RPG.

Which is one heck of a good reason to hype it. So, erm, fail.

Both games are being hyped massively by each camp except, of course, for Uncharted's official hype thread. But that's 'cause cows are wusses.

no kidding man...cows have no reason to brag about this game so much if the official hype is lower then what they're making it out to be. the lemmings didnt play it safe with mass effect one bit

uncharted looks very cool, probably the best ps3 game so far. i'd definitely own it if i had a ps3.

That said, Mass Effect is in a whole other stratosphere as far as im concerned. Uncharted doesnt even ome close. comparing the games side by side makes uncharted look like a ps1 game and im not talking about graphics. everything from the conversation dynamic in mass effect, to the HUGE solar system and species/character/story development makes uncharted look like childs play.

Advertising. Uncharted has only been advertised this last year. Mass Effect has been advertised since 2005.

Correct me if I'm wrong about Uncharted's Unvealing date.
