The days of 3rd party exclusives are simply coming to an end man, it just so happened that Sony had the most 3rd party exclusives coming into this gen. That's why Sony's first party support is top notch. No way Uncharted, SOCOM, Warhawk, etc will ever go to the 360.
Same reason most 360 exclusives end up on the PC. PC+PS3 is owning this gen!Eddie-Vedder
If PS3 is owning, then why are they losing there high profile 3rd party exclusives?
Last gen, people would laugh if you said Tekken and Final fantasy would end up on Xbox...

Do Gears and ME really count as "most?"

In other words; if it wasn't on PS3 only at time of launch, it wasn't exlusive at all. Regardless of some 3rd party franchises being exclusive in the past (PS1, PS2), is not the grounds to assume they ever "belonged" to Sony.
Yeah i agree, Tekken 6 was a lost game, its never set foot on another console.Sony lost, MS gained. Oh well, everyone gets to play it still
You miss the point entirely. Tekken 1-5 never set foot on another console. Tekken 6 hasn't set foot on any console yet, but we now know will on PS3 and Xbox 360. So it has never been exclusive, only presumed to be exclusive based on the past.
Tekken past =/= Tekken present
why are you putting so much effort into something so useless? presumed exclusive or exclusive, Sony didn't count on that, and MS is happy as hell. the same goes to fanboys, and sadly, that's the effect that matters in SW. Or we will just end discussing what's the concept of existance: is the game only really exclusive when it's on the market because that's the moment it starts to exists, or is the game exclusive since it's conception, because that's the moment it start existing? you see, we'll go nowhere.

Something can be technically correct and still be disingenuous. Had someone asked you 2 weeks ago if Tekken 6 was exclusive, is this really the response you would have given? Please.

Oh wait! You forgot about Lost Planet and Viva Pinata, bringing the total to...four.
That counts as most, right? Right?!

I do see where you're coming from. Exclusive when existing in actual physical form (packages disc) or when publically known? And you can certainly argue that by most people's perceptions, it's exclusive at the time it's announced for production. BUT, isn't that the real point of this? That perception is predicated on assumption (an assumption based on the past), which leads to false pretenses of "conclusive fact"?
The real important line of my post was the summary; Tekken past =/= Tekken present.
The same could be said of any franchise, regarding exclusivity, review success, or any number of other expectations.

Not even close to most.
Here's the best point I can figure...
The PS2 had massive 3rd party support, and developement for games was cheaper then. This gen, development has sky rocketed and the PS3 is the most expensive to make games on. Devs cant afford to stay exclusive to just one system, and it just so happened that the Playstation brand carried the most exclusives last gen.
I mean c'mon, why would FF, DMC, or GTAIV stay exclusive to one system when they dont have to? GTAIV cost $100,000,000 to make I've read... so why in the heck would they stay exclusive to the Playstation?
It's a new generation, and it's an expensive one. Devs have to weigh out there decisions carefully this gen. Money knows no loyalty, and I dont blame any third party for going multiplatform. If it costs so much money now that even Capcom says "no more exclusives" - then you know it's getting bad.
Developers have lost faith in Sony and are now stabbing them in the back
(*cough cough* SE, Namco *cough cough*)However, in a rare good turn of events for the PS3, EA has finally delivered on their promise and will use the PS3 as the lead platform. Read about it in my thread.

"Stabbing them in the back"?? The developers were never in a releationship with Sony or any platform. They were involved in business transactions for which money and goods were exchanged. They never owed any exclusivity to them. This is business, not a marriage.
