ps move uses a camera which matches the glowing ball thing with 1:1 movement. wii mote just has sensors inside the controller and you have to point it directly at the other sensor to work for pointing and stuff... it was just a matter of time before sony and microsoft got into motion control, and sony took the right path because you DO need buttons for CONTROL (which is the most important aspect of a game) and what do u expect the controller to look like when pointing at a screen? of course it will LOOK SIMILAR to the wii mote but ITS COMPLETLEY different in terms of how it works.

You're right, but the concept is stolen. Give Nintendo credit. Of course it is improved because Sony has a more powerful system and the Wii Motion was sitting there for Sony to see and improve on. Just like Pepsi is a stolen idea from Coke and all cars after Ford are a stolen idea. It happens, there's the first and then all following are stolen. Sony has come up with many ideas that have since been copied.

LOL!! They stole just about everything from Nintendo. D-Pad, analog, rumble, etc... Stole the home button, achievements and most of the online features from Microsoft. Yes, Microsoft as copied stuff as well. All 3 companies are guilty.

MS stole Nintendo's avatar idea?

You do realize avatars have been around ever since forums existed, right? It's not some holy relic delivered to the world by Nintendo.

Every company from soft drinks to shoes, to vehicles, to brousing online to video games "steal" from one another. Its how business is done. Who really cares? Its one idea built from another idea built from another that is called "progression"..its how you go from a steam powered car to a gasonline vehicle to battery powered to solar..

Fanboys are the only ones who cry over company stealing. Everyone else already sees it as how companies naturally work.

achievments, online ccomunity online marketspace and almost everything from live, it copied xbox in being the 2nd hd home console. im sure nintendo and microsoft copied alot too i dont want to list everything. but copying something is great for us gamers because u get more and better things. wii mote comes then a better wiimote comes from sony this is good for us gamers. xboxlive comes then psn networks comes and now they are competing so much so we get more and better games to download from each.

I believe the Home button was already on the PSP. Unless it was on the original Xbox controller, I dunno how that's stealing. Achievements and online features were already on PC. So why doesn't everyone just admit that consoles stole most of their ideas from PC and be done with it.

Making an HD capable console is considered copying?

Kinect essentially copies eyetoy....copying happens look at the mp3 player explosion in the aftermath of the apple ipod.Or how bout every amplifier manufactuer copied the iconic marshall stack design rather than keep the 8x10fridge.

Get over the whole "stealing" idea... It's not stealing to make a similar product, and even if it was, they all do it.
